"Serena!"

He called again, halted his steps, and asked, "Your biological father is Simon Sterling!"

Ethan Grant looked at Serena Sullivan, waiting for her to deny it.

"Hmm!"

But Serena admitted it.

"It should have been twenty years ago, Simon Sterling talked to my mom, and then he abandoned us and married Miss Kane."

According to what Claire Sullivan said and considering her own age, Serena made a rough guess.

As for why he left them! Whether Mr. Sterling had a change of heart or there was another secret, Serena didn’t know.

"I see!"

Ethan Grant said in a daze, growing nervous.

How could he have been so firm in saying he wouldn’t marry the daughter of Simon Sterling!

Also, the agreent in old Sterling’s hand!

"Serena, let’s go to The Sterling Residence first."

Ethan Grant felt he should buy sothing, apologize to Mr. Sterling, and take back all the things he said before.

"Ethan, no need."

Serena raised her head, looking at Ethan Grant, her eyes red at so unknown mont.

"He doesn’t want , and I don’t want him as a father."

Knowing her true identity and then not being acknowledged by her biological father, that feeling was really terrible.

"Serena."

Ethan Grant couldn’t bear to see Serena’s tears, "Then we won’t acknowledge him," he squatted in front of Serena, holding her hands.

No wonder Serena contacted Simon Sterling, asking for help to leave Solaria.

No wonder after Serena disappeared, Claire Sullivan went to the hotel to find Simon Sterling.

Because Simon Sterling is Serena’s real father!

Since he’s her biological father, when they couldn’t find Serena, Claire Sullivan naturally thought of him.

Unfortunately, that man was too heartless and cruel!

"More than twenty years ago, my mom probably stood at this lake, wanting to jump in."

Pregnant and abandoned by the man she loved deeply, Claire Sullivan must have been so desperate back then.

"She said it was the thought of in her belly that stopped her suicidal thoughts."

Several tis, Serena even thought it might have been better if Claire Sullivan had jumped, then she wouldn’t exist.

But thinking about it now, living is quite good.

"Later, she returned to Solaria with in her belly, and my grandparents insisted she abort, but she couldn’t bear to."

"She couldn’t bear to part with the fetus that had started to move, nor could she let go of Simon Sterling."

Even after the breakup, Claire Sullivan still wanted to give Simon Sterling a chance.

"Unfortunately, Simon Sterling didn’t want her, nor !"

At this point, tears stread down Serena’s cheeks.

"Tell , why was he so ruthless and severed ties so completely!"

On The Sterling Family’s island, they even wanted her dead!

The grief penetrated her heart, and in front of Ethan Grant, Serena cried painfully.

"Ethan, suddenly I miss my mom!"

As Serena spoke, she recalled Claire Sullivan, who insisted on giving birth to her, raised her, loved her, and hurt her.

Ethan Grant watched Serena cry so sorrowfully, he didn’t tell her to stop, and instead bent down to hold her in his arms.

"When we return to Solaria, we’ll visit mom."

"Let Simon Sterling be ruthless, we won’t acknowledge him."

He said calmly, knowing that growing up without a father, Serena longed for a complete family, and with Claire Sullivan marrying Joel Quinn, she was like Claire, hoping for a happy and fulfilling life.

To have a dad, a mom, and her.

The result...

Ethan Grant stayed with Serena for a long ti, waiting for her to calm down, intending to escort her back to Deepwood, but Serena refused.

During this period, Ethan Grant hadn’t been sleeping well, so Serena insisted he go back to the hotel to sleep.
