Julian Ford appears gentle, but his inherent authoritarianism doesn’t yield to Ethan Grant’s towards Serena Sullivan.
However, this man hides it well, acts maturely, and manages to subtly keep Finn Chandler under his control.
"What makes you say that?"
Finn wanted to say that Julian Ford wasn’t watching her like Ethan Grant did, but in Serena’s slight smile, she rembered Julian’s unchanging routine of two calls a day.
Unknowingly, this had beco a habit for Finn, one call before getting up in the morning and another before going to bed at night.
Thinking of the warmth and tenderness this man provided, her cheeks flushed again.
Serena, seeing Finn deeply entrapped in the vortex of love, couldn’t help but smile even more.
She had never seen Finn’s little feminine side like this, it’s hard not to marvel at the oddity of fate and the greatness of love.
She also hoped that Finn and Julian Ford could go all the way, although currently, because of Finn’s status as Young Master Chambers, the road of love between the two wasn’t exactly smooth.
Later, they talked about Anna Morgan, who, being abroad, was ecstatic upon finding Serena, regretting that she had signed a three-month contract with a production crew and couldn’t fly over imdiately to see Serena.
Reunion wasn’t a matter of ti; the three of them would inevitably gather in the Imperial Capital sooner or later.
Today, Finn took Serena to a Michelin restaurant. There are many culinary delights in the Imperial Capital, and Serena felt that Finn had been pampering her with food these past few days. As they chatted over the al, when they were almost done, Finn stood up to go to the restroom.
Serena sat alone, reviewing ssages from Ethan Grant.
Ethan was wrapping up his work and said he would co over right away.
After sending the ssage, Serena waited for Finn to return and heard soone calling, "Miss Sullivan!"
Serena turned her head to see a woman adorned with jewels approaching her.
"Hello."
Serena found this woman sowhat familiar but couldn’t recall where she’d seen her.
"I just saw you having dinner with Finn and wanted to say hello."
Upon the lady’s words, Serena realized who she was.
The feeling of familiarity ca from this woman’s resemblance to Finn.
This was Finn’s biological mother—Mrs. Chambers.
"Hello, Auntie."
Seeing Mrs. Chambers in the restaurant, Serena was quite happy.
She had been friends with Finn for so long but hadn’t t Finn’s family before.
"Finn went to the restroom."
Serena thought Mrs. Chambers was there to find Finn.
"I know." Mrs. Chambers smiled, sitting in Finn’s seat, scrutinizing Serena with a face full of satisfaction.
Serena found Mrs. Chambers’ scrutiny odd; even if her relationship with Finn was good, Mrs. Chambers’ gaze shouldn’t resemble the way First Mrs. Sterling looked at Finn.
"I wanted to talk to you."
Encountering Finn and Serena here was by chance. Mrs. Chambers had attended the recent Sterling Family banquet and learned about Serena’s identity and how Finn had traveled multiple tis to Solaria for her.
"What does Auntie want to talk to about?"
Serena was puzzled, not knowing why Mrs. Chambers wanted to et her alone.
"Finn is older than you, right?"
"By a year."
Serena replied.
"You two being of similar age, having so much to talk about, is indeed rare."
"All my life, I haven’t looked forward to much, just hoping to see Finn get married."
Serena was taken aback, feeling sothing odd in that statent.
From what Finn previously shared about Mrs. Chambers, she was not supposed to allow Finn to revert to a feminine identity.
So, does Mrs. Chambers want Finn to marry a girl?
"Is there still hope for your legs to heal?"
