Ethan Grant got into the house so quickly and even earned the approval of First Mrs. Sterling!

This wasn’t his first ti having dinner with Serena’s family. Four years ago, he had already brought things over to The Sullivan Residence to see Mr. Sullivan and Claire Sullivan and had dinner with them.
Being acknowledged and satisfied—those feelings had been missing for a long ti, so a joyful Ethan Grant finished two bowls of rice, and still wanted more.
Outside, he and Serena had already had a al, but Serena didn’t have much appetite, and was purely accompanying Mindy Sterling and Mrs. Sterling in conversation.
Jas Sterling along with Eldest Master and Second Master Sterling watched Ethan Grant as he nearly ate their whole house and really wanted to kick him out.

"Dad’s cooking is delicious."
Ethan Grant was adept at flattery, hitting a nerve that made Jas Sterling find it hard to get angry.
"If it’s delicious, then eat more,"
First Mrs. Sterling said with a smile.
"Mom, you’re so lucky to be able to eat Dad’s cooking every day."
Jas Sterling had excellent cooking skills, which was the foundation for their couple-run restaurant.
Since the restaurant was running smoothly, Jas Sterling trained apprentices and now mostly oversaw the kitchen; he rarely cooked himself.

Being able to dine at Deepwood every day, and being with Serena daily, made him very content.
Throughout the al, Ethan Grant ate the most, and despite their dissatisfaction with him, Jas Sterling, Eldest Master Sterling, and Second Master Sterling didn’t dare to be overly difficult at the table. The atmosphere was overall pleasant.
After dinner, Jas Sterling directly addressed Ethan Grant, who was chatting with Serena, "Today, you wash the dishes."
You ate so much, you practically ate up all their rice!
In the past, dishwashing was Jas Sterling’s task, then Eldest Master Sterling and Second Master Sterling took turns, but from today onwards, this chore should shift to Ethan Grant.

"Mom, your standards are too low. Just being able to wash dishes is enough?"
Second Master Sterling spoke discontentedly, no matter how he looked at it, he felt Ethan Grant wasn’t worthy of their sister.
"When you visit your mother-in-law’s house in the future, after dinner, never touch the dishes. Then we’ll see if they like you!"
First Mrs. Sterling’s standards were just that low: Ethan Grant calling her "Mom" and being able to wash dishes was enough.
Their opinions didn’t matter; Serena’s fondness was crucial.
Mindy Sterling had sothing going on and needed to leave first; Serena proactively offered to drive her back.
Mindy didn’t refuse; she had sothing to discuss privately with Serena.
"Back in Solaria, I ntioned to you that Mr. and Mrs. Preston were planning to hold their wedding anniversary celebration."
"Are you still interested?"
"Yes!"
Serena nodded. Initially, she felt she didn’t have many days to live and wouldn’t last long enough to design jewelry for Mrs. Preston. Now, she wanted to give it a try.
"In a couple of days, Mrs. Preston wants to host a small gathering; I’ll take you there."
"Oh, Serena."
Mindy turned her head to glance at First Mrs. Sterling and other people standing a bit far off, and then whispered, "It was soone who asked to take you as a student!"
