Serena Sullivan wouldn’t have many more days to be arrogant, she was just waiting to watch the show!
Zoe Quinn returned to her spot, swiping through her phone and watching videos. The entire day, she hadn’t drawn a single stroke on the white paper on her desk. If soone ca in, she’d glance at the books on the table as if seeking inspiration for her work.

She wasn’t afraid of the draft due in three days. After all, she had once trampled Serena underfoot to beco such a ghost! Now, she had Ethan Grant, and the two fools, Claire Sullivan and Sean Lockwood. What was there to fear!
As soon as it was ti to leave work, Zoe Quinn left with Shannon Shaw first. Another designer glanced at Serena Sullivan, "Mrs. Grant, I’m leaving work now."

Serena Sullivan replied, lifting her head to look at the empty office. The silence was quite comforting.
She didn’t plan to leave work imdiately. In the afternoon, Yvette Sterling called, saying Ethan Grant had business in Eastwood and wasn’t coming back to the company, arranging a driver to pick her up.
Without needing to worry about Ethan Grant, Serena Sullivan told the driver she’d return later.
So engrossed in her work, by the ti she realized it, it was over an hour past, and it was dark outside. She felt a bit hungry.
The design departnt was already empty. No, there weren’t many people left in The Grant Corporation. She turned her head to look at the window; from this angle, she could see Ethan Grant’s office.
His office was pitch black, nothing could be seen, but Serena Sullivan just stared at it, not knowing how long she had watched until her eyes beca sore, and sothing seed about to escape from them.
She asked herself, not the type of girl like Zoe Quinn who cried at the drop of a hat. The worst crying episode was four years ago when she woke up in the hospital room, feeling the world had turned upside down, the sky falling down, seeing blood everywhere when her eyes were open, more blood when they were closed, tornted by pain every second of the day, sitting on the bed crying silently every day.
Finn Chandler and Anna were afraid she’d starve herself to death; they would pry open her mouth at al tis and force-feed her liquid food.
After those days, the urge to cry seed to disappear. No matter how painful, no matter how her heart was torn apart after eting Ethan Grant, she wouldn’t cry like she used to.
The two beeps of an incoming ssage pulled Serena Sullivan back from her painful mories. She picked up the phone from the table, saw a ssage from "Ethan Grant," and clicked in.
In the morning, to scare Shannon Shaw and Zoe Quinn, she had sent a ssage to this number again, explaining later.
"Ethan Grant" replied with a simple "Hmm."
Serena Sullivan didn’t expect he’d ssage at that mont.
"I was busy all the ti, sorry about that, did they trouble you again?"
Last ti, when she called him from the mall restroom, Ethan Grant had heard the voices of Shannon Shaw and Zoe Quinn. He must have recognized Shannon Shaw’s voice today too.
So the word "they" didn’t raise any doubts in Serena Sullivan’s mind.
"It’s nothing." Whether this "good Samaritan" was male or female, tall or fat, Serena Sullivan didn’t know. It was just because this number used to belong to "Ethan Grant."
Looking at the string of ssages, she felt at ease, which was why she had reverted the na.
"This number used to belong to my ex-boyfriend, one of the voices in that phone recording was his crush." Serena Sullivan typed out the words simply, "I took him back, his crush and I are now sworn enemies."
