Wayne Jennings thought of the scene where he was beaten earlier and gritted his teeth in hatred.

He said coldly, his eyes filled with chilling intent.
He was unclear about the man who suddenly ca out to beat him, but Wyatt Sterling, he was very familiar with.
The Sterling Family and Kane Family are both prominent families in the Imperial Capital and are related by marriage.
At social events, those people flatter him in person, but once he turns around, they compare him to Wyatt Sterling.

Saying things like he’s worthless, not even as good as Wyatt Sterling.
Saying things like the Sterling Family, with Wyatt Sterling, will sooner or later swallow up the Kane Family.
Every ti he hears these words, he drags those gossiping tongues out for a beating. Over ti, the more people talk behind his back about him not being as good as Wyatt Sterling, the more he hates Wyatt.

The Dowager Kane was stunned; the leader of The Grant Corporation arrived in the Imperial Capital, snatching a lot of business from The Sterling Corporation, causing other families to be wary.
As the one in control of the Kane Family, she knew who Ethan Grant was! Previously, Mrs. Sterling even ntioned to her that Felicity Sterling wanted to marry Ethan Grant.
For the sake of the Kane Family, the Dowager Kane greatly endorsed this marriage. She was planning to find an opportunity to discuss it with Ethan personally.
Thinking she would intervene, and since Felicity is her biological granddaughter, how could Ethan refuse.

The Dowager imdiately thought of Serena Sullivan.
"A bastard born to a whore deserving to be called the Sterling Family’s Eldest Miss!"
The Dowager scoffed disdainfully.
"Yes!"
Mrs. Kane responded, "It’s Nancy Sterling."
"When Wayne saw her, he imdiately braked, didn’t hit Nancy, but scared her, causing her to fall from the wheelchair."
"Heh!" The Dowager laughed coldly upon hearing Serena was scared and fell from the wheelchair, "Indeed useless!"
"Wayne saw her fall and quickly got out of the car to help her."
Mrs. Kane, without changing her expression, spun lies, effectively concealing the truth in a few sentences, telling the Dowager that Wayne Jennings did not act intentionally, the fault lay with Serena Sullivan and Ethan Grant.
"That Ethan Grant ca out of the hotel right when he saw this and without a word, rushed up and beat Wayne."
