"Big brother, second brother, Dad wants to see you."
Serena Sullivan saw Jas Sterling waving at Eldest and Second Master Sterling and told her two brothers.
Sure enough, Jas, who was chatting with other guests, was waving at them.
Eldest and Second Master Sterling glared at Ethan Grant for a mont, said, "Take care of Serena," and left.
"Serena, there’s soone I know over there, I’ll head over."
After a while, seeing soone calling him over, Wyatt Sterling suddenly spoke.
"Okay!"
Serena Sullivan had no objections; she watched Wyatt walk toward soone.
The Ford family’s party was lively, but Felicity Sterling, who had been doted on since childhood attending all sorts of events with June Kane, felt almost invisible today.
She stood quietly behind June, watching guests co and go.
When guests saw June, they would greet her as usual, but it was evident their attitude had changed; they no longer lingered to chat, excusing themselves after a quick hello.
Gradually, once everyone had greeted them, no one ca over to talk anymore.
June observed the change in their deanor, well aware it was due to her divorce from Simon Sterling.
Even the way they addressed her had shifted from "Mrs. Sterling" to "Miss Kane!"
"Felicity!"
June Kane called coldly to Felicity from behind her.
Felicity Sterling didn’t respond, engrossed in a text ssage, mouth curved, a smile on her face.
June turned around, noticing Felicity’s smile, and frowned.
The smile bore sweetness and a hint of shyness!
"Who are you chatting with?"
June asked deeply, a displeased tone to her voice.
Her angry tone snapped Felicity back to reality; she looked up at June and quickly turned off her phone.
"Who are you chatting with?" June questioned again, noticing Felicity had been acting strangely these days, often smirking at her phone. Could she be in love with soone?
"A friend," Felicity imdiately responded.
She didn’t dare to tell June who she was chatting with.
Felicity had so understanding of June’s thoughts.
If she told June she was fond of a delivery guy, June would definitely oppose it.
She had to find soone suitable!
No, June might even still wish for her to be with...
"Felicity."
Thankfully, June didn’t snatch the phone from Felicity, nor did she check who had ssaged her.
"Go and offer Mr. Grant a drink."
June said with a smile.
"Mom!" Felicity objected loudly, her voice pleading as she saw June’s face turn stern, "Ethan Grant will never like , don’t make pursue him."
Initially, she was fond of Ethan Grant.
But that was simply because Ethan was good-looking and ca from a good family, nothing more, nothing related to love.
Knowing Ethan’s heart was set on Serena Sullivan, she backed off further.
Yet, June persistently pushed her towards Ethan Grant, and she was truly scared, truly unwilling!
"Felicity, listen to your mother."
June smiled, seeing Felicity hesitate, and said with displeasure, "Felicity, you need to believe in yourself."
Could her daughter be any less than Claire Sullivan, especially when Serena’s just a cripple?
Felicity bit her lips, unwilling to let Ethan sha her dignity.
What’s the point of that!
It wasn’t as if she wasn’t loved; she had soone she liked, and that person liked her back.
"Mom!"
Felicity looked at June with despairing eyes, but June was resolute.
"Go, offer the drink!"
Felicity had no choice; in her heart, June mattered most.
Now that Simon no longer wanted her, she feared even more that June would abandon her.
