"I don’t want to!" Felicity Sterling shook her head, her voice firm but calm in reply.
"Rest assured, I won’t really compete with you for Ethan Grant."
From the beginning, she never put effort into any action, at most she threatened Serena Sullivan a bit, just to make June Kane happy.
"Hmm."
Serena wasn’t surprised by Felicity’s response. She lifted her head to look at the girl in front of her.
Appearance-wise, Felicity was less attractive, but under June’s years of ticulous grooming, her charisma was outstanding.
Plus, she wasn’t as selfish and self-serving as the Kane Family, nor as calculative as herself, which earned her favor among others.
A girl like her, as long as she dared not to follow June’s arrangents, she could certainly find a suitable man for herself and live happily.

However, Serena didn’t think further, feeling a bit dizzy. She leaned forward, almost collapsing to the ground.

The banquet hall remained bustling when Serena followed Felicity out. The Sterling Family noticed, but since it was Felicity, and Serena was with her friend, they decided to wait a few minutes before checking.
Knowing that The Sterling Family had relaxed their guard toward Felicity, June Kane instructed Felicity to go offer a toast.
The drink wasn’t intended for Ethan Grant but was ant for Serena.
June naturally understood her own daughter well.
During a al last ti, she asked Felicity to toast Ethan Grant, but Felicity was reluctant. Today, without June accompanying her, she would certainly change it to a toast for Serena.
The drink was pre-drugged long ago. After Serena finished it, Felicity found an excuse to chat outside.
Ha, in Kane Family’s territory, where could Serena possibly run off to?
Even if there was a formidable female bodyguard beside her, could she possibly defeat so many Kane family guards?

Secretly pleased, she noticed Simon Sterling getting entangled by other guests and went over coldly to chat with him.

The news of June and Simon’s divorce had spread throughout the Imperial Capital. Seeing her approach, the guests found a reason to give these two a chance for a private conversation.

June’s words received no response from Simon as he turned his head, looking around for Serena.
"Are you looking for that wretched girl born of Claire Sullivan?" June sneered, "I saw her leaving just now."
"Saying she didn’t want to marry Wayne Jennings, she called away her people as soon as she arrived at the Kane Family, maybe she’s gone crazy wanting to beco the Kane’s young madam."
Now, having The Sterling Family search for her, the timing was perfect.

June lowered her voice, coldly laughing as she looked towards the entrance of the banquet.
She was sure that once she finished speaking, Simon would eagerly gather people to find Serena’s whereabouts at the Kane Family.
Then, guests would follow, finding Serena in Wayne Jennings’s bed, this matter...
Just thinking of it made June delighted, but as her gaze caught sight of the person coming out of the door, the smile on her face froze completely.
