The police station imdiately launched an ergency plan, sending people to search for June Kane’s whereabouts. They called Simon Sterling to inform him and asked him to notify the police station if he had any information.
After the call, Simon Sterling was anxious and didn’t notice that his phone was out of battery. When he arrived at the entrance of Deepwood, he ran into Felicity Sterling.
Simon Sterling picked Felicity up from the police station. Accompanied by Young Master Walsh, she was admitted to the hospital.
Seeing Felicity at the gate of Deepwood, Simon Sterling paused.
"Dad!"
Felicity had already gone to The Sterling Residence, knowing that the entire Sterling Family was having dinner there today.
She had co specifically to wait for Simon Sterling.
Simon Sterling looked at his watch, realizing it was ti for dinner; the family was waiting for him to co over.
"Felicity, can we talk about this tomorrow, okay?"
Simon Sterling negotiated.
He wasn’t willing to bring Felicity into Deepwood.
"Dad, don’t you want anymore?"
Hearing Simon Sterling not even giving her ti to speak, Felicity’s tears fell.
"No."
Simon Sterling explained, "I’ve already arranged everything for you."
"I don’t want to go abroad."
Felicity said anxiously, "I’ve stayed beside you and mom since I was a child, and I’ve never stepped out of the Imperial Capital alone."
Felicity’s tears fell, "Dad, I would be scared."
After learning of Simon Sterling’s plan, she beca anxious.
"Felicity." Simon Sterling softened his tone, "What do you want?"
He didn’t want to speak gently with Felicity; under the current situation, he could only make things clearer.
"I’m very sorry, but you’re not really welco back at the Sterling Residence."
As long as Serena Sullivan disliked it, Felicity couldn’t return to the Sterling ho.
"I know."
Pain gripped Felicity’s heart because of Serena Sullivan; she lost her mom and now was losing her dad.
"The mont she returned, you didn’t want anymore."
"Because she is your biological daughter."
Felicity sobbed.
The truth hurt but had to be accepted.
In the past, protected by June Kane, Felicity lived carefree and laid-back. Now, her ivory tower had suddenly collapsed, and too many things struck her unprepared.
Simon Sterling was stunned, not expecting Felicity to know her own background.
"I’m sorry."
He said again, looking at the pitifully crying Felicity, he stepped back, "You can stay in the Imperial Capital, but please don’t contact Serena."
Here, Simon Sterling used "please".
"Your mom and The Ford Family’s issues have little to do with you, but seeing you reminds her."
"I’ve owed her too much over the years."
"To you, I can no longer be your dad!"
He liked Felicity, and that liking was more because of Serena Sullivan.
Over the years, Simon Sterling unknowingly shifted his longing and love for Serena Sullivan onto Felicity.
Upon knowing how ruthlessly June Kane hard his daughter, he instantly hated.
Hated June Kane, even hated himself.
To treat June Kane’s daughter like his own, caring for her like before; he, being cold-hearted, couldn’t do it.
"Whether you go abroad or not, it’s up to you to consider."
After saying this, Simon Sterling turned and entered Deepwood.
He didn’t want to delay too long and keep Serena waiting for him.
The evening wind blew, chilling Felicity’s body to a tremble. She lifted her head to watch Simon Sterling’s slowly receding figure, her gaze dropped to the gift he was holding in his hand, and tears fell rapidly.
Why!
Why is Simon Sterling treating her like this too!
What did she do wrong? It was June Kane and The Ford Family who were wrong; why won’t they accept her!
