Ethan Grant’s body instantly tensed. Without caring to reproach Wyatt Sterling for not keeping watch, he turned and pulled out his phone, asking the bodyguard stationed at the elevator.
Wyatt quickly walked to the window, fearing to see sothing bloody down below when he stuck his head out.
However, the view outside remained unchanged. Not only were there no people, even the wheelchair and blanket were nowhere to be seen.
Feeling puzzled, he turned his head toward the hospital bed and saw a mound of white blankets on the inner side, calling out to Ethan Grant at the doorway.
"Ethan, Serena’s here!"
Ethan turned back and walked quickly in the direction Wyatt pointed.
They walked in, only seeing one side of the bed, while Serena Sullivan had rolled to the other side along with the blanket.
Ethan imdiately went over, picked Serena up from the floor and placed her back on the bed, tucking her in again.
"This is really strange!"
Wyatt looked at Serena, still asleep on the bed, and said, "When I left the room, Serena was lying just fine on the bed; how did she fall to the floor in such a short ti?"
"I was watching the door while making a phone call, there’s no way soone could have co in without noticing."
Besides, if anyone ca in just to push Serena to the ground, it makes even less sense.
Listening to Wyatt, Ethan glanced at Wyatt.
The two glanced at each other, uncertain what to make of it, and Wyatt broke the silence first.
"Ring the bell and get the doctor over here."
"No, no!"
Wyatt turned around excitedly and rushed out, "I’m going to call Simon over here."
He reached the door and saw Simon Sterling returning with a takeout box.
Simon looked at Wyatt rushing out in a panic and asked, "What happened?"
"Dad, Serena rolled onto the floor!"
"She rolled to the floor herself."
Simon: ...
Is this son of his a fool? His sister rolled onto the floor and he still smiles so cheerfully!
Then it clicked for Simon, and he also smiled.
"Rolled onto the floor!"
"Good!"
"Quickly, call Simon the doctor over."
Simon urged Wyatt to call the doctor, who opened the door and quickly walked over to Serena Sullivan’s side.
Simon arrived, surrounded by the three n, and perford a simple check-up on Serena.
During the check-up, the three n fixated on him silently, Wyatt’s questions buzzing in his ear.
"Simon, how is my sister? She just rolled off the bed."
"Does it an she’s about to wake up?"
Simon stood up, examining the three n looking both worried and tense.
"I say, rolling off the bed, and you’re still so happy!"
"Aren’t you afraid of a concussion, and she still won’t wake up?"
Simon startled, Ethan and Simon simultaneously glared at Wyatt.
Wyatt bowed his head, looking at Serena; next ti, when the call cos, he’d hang up directly.
"Simon."
Ethan spoke up, daring not to say much, not that he didn’t want to know the answer, but feared hearing what he didn’t want to hear.
Seven days in the hospital felt like seven years.
In the upcoming years, if Serena keeps lying there, he’s genuinely terrified.
"Does Serena have a chance to wake up?"
He asked solemnly, enunciating each word slowly.
Simon’s gaze fell on Ethan Grant, understanding the life, death, and human affairs of the hospital thoroughly as a doctor.
"No!"
He replied faintly with those two words, Ethan’s face instantly turned pale, his heart stabbed deeply, and he smiled, "No problem!"
"I will stay by her side always."
Until his own end.
"But she did roll onto the floor, how can there be no chance of waking up!"
