The Sullivan Family
The old man of the Sullivan Family switched from being a scholar to a businessman. He only had one daughter, Claire Sullivan, and Claire only had one child, Serena Sullivan.
In the past few years, the old man controlled The Sullivan Corporation. Due to health reasons, he stepped down and handed it over to Claire Sullivan.
Claire Sullivan had the intention but lacked the strength for company’s affairs. After marrying Joel Quinn, she gradually transferred authority to him.
Luckily, the old man held thirty percent of the shares, and it was for these shares that Claire Sullivan had another big argunt with him.
Serena Sullivan got out of the car and saw Aunt Chen waiting at the door.
Aunt Chen ca over to help Serena out of the car, anxiously saying, "Miss Serena, the old man has just woken up. You should properly soothe him later."
"What’s going on?" Serena Sullivan noticed sothing amiss in Aunt Chen’s words, but Aunt Chen lowered her head and hesitated.
"It was Claire Sullivan who made Grandpa faint." Serena guessed, knowing only Claire Sullivan had the ability to anger Grandpa to such an extent.
Aunt Chen paused for a mont, then slowly nodded.
Claire Sullivan was so bewitched by Joel Quinn and his daughter Zoe that she not only disbelieved her own daughter but also ignored Grandpa’s advice.
One day, when they had drained her to the skin, she would understand what inviting trouble into the house ant! Serena didn’t ask about the reason for the argunt between Grandpa and Claire Sullivan, since asking would yield no answer, and she could guess so things.
Aunt Chen guided Serena to the back garden of The Sullivan Residence. She rembered sothing else, "Miss Serena, about that Gu..."
Before she could finish, a woman’s angry voice ca from the front.
"Father is senile! Why would he want to hand The Sullivan Corporation to Serena?"
"If it weren’t for you, The Sullivan Corporation would have long collapsed." Claire Sullivan continued angrily, "No, I must go argue this with Father again."
Serena and Aunt Chen looked over, and in the garden filled with flowers, a ticulously dressed Claire Sullivan in a qipao was angrily heading towards the villa, with a tall man beside her, holding her hand to prevent her from going in.
"Claire."
The man said gently, "Don’t be angry. It’s my fault for not satisfying Dad. His health isn’t good, apologize to him when you get inside."
"Joel!"
Claire Sullivan stomped her feet in frustration and unintentionally glanced at Serena at the doorway. The mother and daughter confronted each other, just as before, Claire Sullivan’s face darkened gloomily.
Joel Quinn walked behind Claire Sullivan and saw Serena sitting in a wheelchair in the garden, he hesitated for a mont, then a smile appeared on his face.
"What are you doing here!"
Claire Sullivan walked up to block Serena’s way.
"Move aside!"
Serena Sullivan raised her head and replied coldly.
Her indifferent expression and eyes filled with chill made Claire Sullivan even angrier.
The daughter she went through hell to bring into this world treated her like this.
"Serena Sullivan, you can forget about currying favor with your Grandpa! The Sullivan Corporation will never be yours."
"Give up on that thought."
"If not , then who!"
Serena Sullivan looked at Claire Sullivan’s face, which resembled her own, and said amusedly, "I am your daughter, your flesh and blood!"
Your own flesh and blood, but no match for those raised halfway.
To this day, Serena cannot understand why Claire Sullivan is so easily deceived, so blind!
