The car smoothly pulled into Maple Villa.
By the ti she got out of the car, Xia Yangyang was already exhausted.
After settling the two kids, the sky was nearly bright.
Xia Yangyang collapsed onto the bed and quickly fell asleep.
She slept all the way until 3 p.m.
When Xia Yangyang woke up, she felt the room was eerily quiet.
She got out of bed, took a quick shower, and left the room.
This was Gu Qichen’s Maple Villa, a place Xia Yangyang had visited many tis before, but never as the hoowner.
The feeling was incredibly surreal.
Xia Yangyang wandered around, observing everything around her.
Honestly, from the first ti she ca here, Xia Yangyang had felt a strange sense of familiarity.
It was as if everything was etched deep in her mory.
Just covered in a layer of dust.
Xia Yangyang went to the kids’ room.
Sure enough, Xia Ye and little Xingxing were there.
Xia Yangyang walked in.
Little Xingxing was playing with toys, while Xia Ye was quietly reading a book nearby.
Every once in a while, little Xingxing would snuggle up to Xia Ye and bombard him with questions.
Xia Ye seed to be running out of patience with the endless questions.
Though Xia Ye appeared cool and aloof like his father, he actually had a very good temperant and was always patient with everyone.
But Xia Yangyang noticed that Xia Ye seed a little different when he was with little Xingxing.
He would get impatient, even annoyed, but at tis, there was an undeniable joy he couldn’t hide.
Occasionally, he would even tease little Xingxing.
This was a side of Xia Ye that Xia Yangyang had never seen before at any other ti.
Around little Xingxing, Xia Ye seed like a normal child.
The two little ones quickly noticed Xia Yangyang standing at the door.
"Auntie Yangyang, you’re awake!" Little Xingxing ran toward her cheerfully and jumped into her arms.
Xia Yangyang picked up little Xingxing and walked in.
"Auntie Yangyang, you slept for so long. Are you hungry?" Little Xingxing asked with concern.
Now that she ntioned it, Xia Yangyang realized she was indeed a little hungry.
Xia Yangyang asked, "Have you two already eaten?"
"We’ve already had lunch! Uncle Gu made lots of delicious food. Xingxing loves Uncle Gu’s cooking the most!"
Little Xingxing grinned from ear to ear.
Xia Yangyang was a bit surprised. "Uncle Gu cooked the food?"
Little Xingxing nodded enthusiastically. "Auntie Yangyang, Uncle Gu even saved so food for you. You should head to the dining room and eat! I could even hear your stomach growling."
Xia Yangyang really was hungry, but she felt a bit surprised.
Gu Qichen hadn’t slept last night either, yet he still managed to make lunch for the kids.
Was he made of steel?
Xia Ye walked over as well. "Mom, are you feeling better? Dad said you had a headache and told us not to disturb you."
"I’m fine now, no need to worry. By the way, where is your dad?" Xia Yangyang asked.
"Dad should be in the study right now, but he has a guest."
A guest?
Xia Yangyang went directly to the study.
The study door was closed.
She hesitated for a mont at the door before knocking.
The door quickly opened.
A young teenager stood at the doorway.
As soon as he saw Xia Yangyang, the boy imdiately said, "Hello, sister-in-law!"
It seed this was soone she had known before losing her mory.
If it had been in the past, Xia Yangyang would’ve felt quite awkward.
