Xi Zijun showed no expression, yet it seed as if she was waiting for him to continue.
Gu Qichen sat across from Xi Zijun and began: “You can’t live here alone; soone needs to take care of you.”
Xi Zijun’s voice was also very calm.
She looked entirely different from the person who had broken down crying at the door monts ago.
Xi Zijun calmly said, “I don’t need anyone to take care of . I can look after myself.”
“This isn’t okay; you should either go to the hospital or I’ll have a maid co over. I’m not comfortable with you being here alone.”

Xi Zijun’s words sounded cold, as if she was distancing herself from Gu Qichen.
Yet a woman’s intuition led Xia Yangyang to notice.
Xi Zijun was simply being a bit defiant.
She was just hiding all her emotions beneath her cold and proud exterior.
Perhaps she was also concerned about so things.
Xia Yangyang stepped forward and suddenly said, “Miss Xi, if you don’t mind, why not stay with us at Maple Villa until your surgery? I’ll take good care of you until your eyes recover.”
