Chapter 675: Chapter 676: I can’t let you take risks alone

Liu Ruyan paused for a mont, then smiled: “Of course, you are welco.”

At that very mont, Gu Qichen was standing not far behind them.

He intuitively felt that everything happening in the Xi Family had sothing to do with Xia Yangyang.

This woman seed to have returned to the country just because of the Xi Family.

It was like there was a secret that Gu Zhaohan knew, but he himself didn’t know.

Gu Zhaohan’s car left the courtyard of the Xi Family.

Gu Zhaohan asked, “Liu Ruyan obviously has suspicions. Why risk it and agree to see her tomorrow? Isn’t it like walking into the tiger’s den? After the trick you’ve played on her today, she surely won’t let you go easily.”

Xia Yangyang looked out at the scenery moving backwards outside the car window and said, “There are so things, I have to ask directly and clearly, so I must go.”

Gu Zhaohan fell silent.

Xia Yangyang then turned her head and said, “Then why do you want to accompany tomorrow when you know it’s like going into a banquet of a trap?”

But Gu Zhaohan just gave a mild smile, “How could I let you take the risk alone?”

The next day.

Early in the morning, Gu Zhaohan was at Heaven on Earth to pick her up.

After breakfast, they imdiately went to the Roman Antique Shop.

Liu Ruyan’s antique shop was considered the largest in Beijing.

Upon entering the shop, it was like stepping into a huge museum.

A secretary was waiting at the entrance.

Seeing Xia Yangyang and Gu Zhaohan exiting, she approached directly, “Miss Xia, Mr. Gu, please follow .”

The secretary escorted Xia Yangyang and Gu Zhaohan up by an elevator.

After exiting the elevator and passing through a long corridor, they arrived at the door of Liu Ruyan’s office.

Both sides of the corridor were floor-to-ceiling glass windows, revealing multiple offices of various sizes.

It was clear that Liu Ruyan was operating more than just an antique shop.

It was a large-scale antique industrial chain.

The secretary stopped them and then said to Gu Zhaohan, “Our boss has a few private words to discuss with Miss Xia, could Mr. Gu kindly wait in the nearby lounge?”

Gu Zhaohan’s voice was icy, “No way, I need to be with her at all tis.”

Xia Yangyang smiled at Gu Zhaohan, “Don’t worry. Since she knows you ca with today, she won’t do anything to . She isn’t foolish enough to make a move on today.”

Gu Zhaohan was silent for a while, and eventually went to the lounge, “If anything happens, I will be right outside the door.”

Xia Yangyang nodded.

The secretary opened the door, and Xia Yangyang walked in.

Liu Ruyan was preparing tea and burning incense on the sofa.

The scent of agarwood was refreshing.

Upon seeing Xia Yangyang’s arrival, Liu Ruyan said, “All this while, my dream has been to open an antique shop. I always urged your father to invest in the antique market, but he always felt that I had poor taste. He would rather pour all his money into the stock market than fulfill my small wish. But as it turns out, I made Roman the biggest antique shop in Beijing in less than four years. In the future, I will continue expanding, opening ten or even a hundred branches, and go public. I want everyone to know my na, Liu Ruyan, and my Roman.”

“Aunt Liu’s ambition is trendous, so much so that even my father and the Stardust’s business could not satisfy you, so Aunt Liu, you are just trying to attach yourself to the Xi Family to fulfill your ambition?”

Instead of beating around the bush, Xia Yangyang decided to cut straight to the point.

Liu Ruyan smiled, “Co, have a sip of tea first, then we can talk leisurely.”
