Chloe Alden glanced impatiently at Katherine North.
"Anything else?"
Such a terrible attitude!
If it weren’t for Chloe Alden having a good father and uncle, who would take such a spoiled princess seriously!
However, at this mont, Katherine North had no choice but to keep up the facade of flattery.
"Chloe, you don’t like Cecilia Vaughn either, right? I just can’t stand her topping the campus belle list with her so-called world-class beauty, I..."
Chloe wasn’t entirely naive; she scrutinized Katherine with a mocking smile on her lips.
"Are you trying to get to rig the votes for you?"
Katherine choked on Chloe’s condescending tone, feeling a bit embarrassed.
"Well, you don’t want Cecilia Vaughn to win either, right, Chloe?"
Chloe considered for a mont.
"Fine, but everything cos at a price; you’ll be my sidekick for a sester."
It not only undermined Cecilia Vaughn’s top position but also had the new campus belle as her sidekick; the thought was quite thrilling.
"..."
Katherine hesitated for three seconds, gritting her teeth before agreeing imdiately.
"Alright!"
She ca from a modest background and was vain. She struggled in the art departnt, a field that required financial support. Following this fool, she might even et a few rich kids!
...
Cecilia Vaughn wasn’t particularly interested in the campus belle rankings, but she was curious why Chloe Alden remained vice president in her senior year.
After asking around for a bit, she quickly discovered that Chloe Alden couldn’t keep up academically and was held back!
She’s still in her junior year!
Cecilia Vaughn’s lips curled into a cold smile. Like Fiona, Chloe Alden had gotten in through connections, but Fiona was simply more skilled at it.
...
After school, Cecilia Vaughn took the subway back to Starfall Bay, only to find a middle-aged woman cleaning the villa.
The woman seed friendly, giving Cecilia a kindly smile at the entrance.
"Young Madam, you’re back? The Young Master said to change your clothes, as he’ll be taking you shopping later."
"You’re Aunt Sawyer, right? Good afternoon."
Cecilia Vaughn changed into her slippers, returning the smile, then quickly ran to the closet to change.
Shopping?
Does the house need anything?
Strange, and they didn’t even ntion it beforehand...
Curious, Cecilia Vaughn thought for a mont, applied light makeup, and chose a lotus-colored chiffon blouse paired with white wide-legged pants, looking casual yet stylish.
...
Adrian Law was too busy with work and went directly to Celestial Plaza Mall, having soone pick her up at the gate of the community.
Cecilia Vaughn, having changed, walked to the gate of Starfall Bay Community by foot, but Wyatt Law hadn’t arrived, saying he’d be there within three minutes.
Yet unexpectedly, she suddenly encountered the two people she least wanted to see.
Fiona Vaughn and Tyson Law.
They had just gotten out of a white Bentley, here for a dinner party, and were stunned when they saw Cecilia Vaughn.
...
Especially Tyson Law.
He had never seen Cecilia Vaughn dressed so intellectual; she always used to be bare-faced...
At this mont, with a touch of powder, Cecilia Vaughn stood in the evening breeze, her jet-black hair cascading down, and the warm amber dusk illuminating her face, making her skin appear as white as jade, so stunning that one’s eyes couldn’t shift away.
Seeing Tyson Law gaze at Cecilia Vaughn as if he were spellbound, Fiona’s jealousy surged.
She stepped forward with a look of surprise and joy on her face.
"Sister, what are you doing here? Do you have a friend living at Starfall Bay too?"
Everyone knows the Starfall Bay Villa Complex in Northwood District is pri real estate, ho to the wealthy and elite.
With such an "unintentional" reminder, Tyson Law quickly ca to his senses.
Yes, why is Cecilia Vaughn here?
Could it be she has really latched onto so rich man?
Thinking of this, Tyson Law’s initial look of admiration quickly soured.
...
Cecilia Vaughn glanced disdainfully at Fiona and Tyson, having no interest in entertaining them.
Instead, Tyson Law was the first to speak, his posture self-righteous.
"Cecilia, this isn’t a place you should be. Don’t compromise your principles for a little money..."
Cecilia shot Tyson an odd look.
Is this guy nuts?
Can’t she even stand near the entrance of Starfall Bay?
...
Seeing her fiancé’s eyes constantly trailing Cecilia, Fiona felt uneasy and quickly tugged on Tyson’s sleeve.
"Tyson, don’t say that to Sister. Maybe Sister just has a female friend living here."
She then put on a caring smile for Cecilia.
"Sister, seeing you in this cold wind, I wonder for how long you’ve been standing here. Is no one picking you up?"
"How about this, tell us where you live, and I’ll get you a cab."
Hearing this, Cecilia burst into laughter.
"Fiona, didn’t you declare that you’d be my adversary at the Vaughn Residence last ti? Now you’re offering to get a cab?"
Bringing that up wasn’t the wisest, for both Fiona and Tyson suddenly rembered Florence Warner’s horrendous face!
This woman sure is ruthless!
...
Tyson Law quickly grew displeased.
"Cecilia Vaughn, don’t be ungrateful. Fiona kindly wants to get you a cab, and yet you respond with such an attitude!"
"A woman like you, latching onto wealthy n, yet still left without a ride ho!"
Cecilia’s expression turned cold upon hearing this; she hadn’t expected Tyson Law to be so vicious with his words.
She increasingly regretted ever liking such a scumbag.
...
Yet, just as Tyson finished his mockery, a pure black supercar suddenly pulled up in front of the three of them.
It was the newest Koenigsegg model, its streamlined body and sleek black finish exuding an aura of dominance, the dream car of every man!
Tyson was shocked, and Fiona was stunned!
This car... she had heard Tyson ntion it before; he wanted to buy it back then, worth tens of millions!
But though Tyson had entered the family business, he was always under the financial control of his father and his half-brother, lacking the ans to buy such a car.
In comparison, the over seven-million-dollar white Bentley Tyson had co in suddenly paled in significance!
...
Soon, a man in his thirties stepped out from the driver’s seat of the Koenigsegg.
The man had dark skin, bright white teeth, and Cecilia had never seen him before.
He walked over, respectfully bowing to Cecilia.
"Young Madam, the Young Master sent to pick you up."
Cecilia thought Adrian would send Wyatt, but it seed he was temporarily occupied as well. Without thinking much, she politely smiled and got into the car.
...
Until the Koenigsegg sped off into the distance, Tyson and Fiona couldn’t regain their composure for a long ti.
Especially Tyson, whose face was extrely displeased.
"What did that man just call her, Young Madam?!"
