The group kept moving deeper into the forest, talking here and there, but their voices naturally got quieter as the trees grew thicker. The moonlight barely reached inside anymore, breaking through in thin lines.
Leaves crunched under their feet.
It felt... calm.
Suddenly, Toma slowed down. "Wait... do you guys see that?"
Everyone looked where she was pointing. Far ahead, sothing faint was glowing between the trees.
Akib frowned. "Light? Out here? At night?"
Jiniya stepped forward. "Let’s go check it."
They all moved closer.
And then they saw it.
Fireflies.
Dozens... no, hundreds of them, floating in the air like tiny stars.
For a mont, none of them spoke.
Rabbi quickly pulled out his phone. "Yo, this is crazy. Stand there, don’t move."
The girls gathered together, laughing softly. The fireflies drifted around them, glowing gently.
Toma stood slightly ahead without even realizing it, the lights gathered around her. So hovered near her hair, so around her shoulders.
She looked... different.
She looked... more gorgeous.
Jiniya whispered, "This looks unreal. She’s looking like an angel."
Farjana nodded. " Yeah, like sothing out of a dream."
One of the girls, nad Maisha, laughed quietly. "Toma, don’t move."
Click... click.... click....
Rabbi kept taking pictures.
A little behind them, Nobody stood still.
Aiden stood beside him.
Both of them were looking at Toma while blushing with cheeks being slightly red.
Neither of them said anything.
After that Mr.Nobody felt sothing strange in his chest again.
Sothing else. A danger sense.
He didn’t understand it.
But then....
That feeling from before ca back.
He looked around slowly.
The forest felt... off.
"...We should go back," he muttered.
But no one heard him.
After a while, they started heading back, still talking about the fireflies, showing each other pictures.
"Yo, the pictures ca out so aweso!" Akib said to Jiniya.
"We know you’re great at taking pictures," Jiniya said with a slight smile.
Then....
Grr.....!
A roar.
Everyone stopped.
"What was that?" Maisha whispered.
Rrrrr....!
Another roar ca.
Closer this ti.
Akib’s face changed. "That sounded like a bear."
Aiden’s voice turned serious instantly. "We’re leaving. Now!"
No one argued. They started running.
[System Notification: Webcomic Event ’Bear of Chaos’ has began]
Branches hit their arms, feet slipped, breathing got heavier. No one even looked back.
After what felt like forever, they reached the campsite.
Everyone stopped, trying to catch their breath.
"What the hell was that..." Jiniya said.
Akib replied, "It had to be a bear."
Aiden looked around. "No one leaves the camp."
For a second, it felt safe.
Then....
Grrrrrrr!
Another roar.
Right outside.
"Guys, let’s check out of the tent!" Rabbi said to all while being terrified.
It felt really close from their tent side.
Everyone slowly turned.
And then they saw it.
A huge ferocious grizzly bear was standing there looking straight at them.
No one moved.
Then panic broke out.
"Everyone run as fast as you can!" Jiniya shouted.
Grrrrrrr!
Rabbi already starteḍ running. "We have to survive!!!" He said.
Toma tried to run too, but her foot got caught on a little rock. She stumbled and fell hard.
Her vision shook.
Before she could get up....
Everything went black.
The others didn’t notice her falling there.
But Mr.Nobody did.
His eyes widened. "Toma!"
The bear was already moving toward her.
Mr.Nobody didn’t think.
He just moved. He stepped in front of her.
The bear raised its paw and swung.
There was no ti. The hit landed hard on Nobody.
Nobody’s body was thrown back like nothing.
Everything went quiet. His vision blurred.
Darkness closed in.
...
Then....
Sothing changed.
When he opened his eyes again...
He wasn’t in the forest anymore.
There was nothing around him.
No ground.
No sky.
Just empty endless space.
He was floating there.
Then he panicked.
"Wait, where the hell am I right now !!!"
