Chapter 16 It Felt Good to Be a Bad Woman

The illness that her father had suffered from had made it almost impossible for him to focus on his pany affairs. He had often been in a daze. Therefore, he had gradually handed over the business to Lou Yucheng.
After that, he had had a car accident. According to the hospital report, he was the one who had caused the accident by mistakenly pressing down on the accelerator instead of the brakes, possibly because of a hallucination caused by his mental illness.
If Lan Xiao’s guess was right, there must be something wrong with the health supplements that her father was taking all year round.
Therefore, while replacing the supplements, she had kept one of the pills, and planned to check the ingredients in it as soon as she could.
After saying goodbye to her father, Lan Xiao walked out of the house and when she was about to get in the car,
a black car quickly stopped next to her.
The door opened, and a dashing young man in a black suit stepped out.
Before Lan Xiao could look up at the man’s face, she heard a disgusting and hypocritical voice of concern.
“Xiao Xiao, let me drive you to school. Get in the car…” As Lou Yucheng spoke, he reached out and pressed her shoulder.
Lan Xiao felt the hairs on her skin standing on end. She clenched her fists, and then flashed a bright smile at Lou Yucheng.
“It’s fine, Yucheng. I can go to school by myself. Your work is way more important. Don’t worry about me…”
Lou Yucheng couldn’t help but do a double take when he saw the beautiful and delicate face of the girl in front of him.
He froze, and a hint of shock flashed in his eyes. For a moment, he even suspected that he had approached the wrong person. Was this beauty with a sweet and bright smile really Lan Xiao?
Her hair had been pulled back into a bun, revealing her delicate features. The white lace tunic dress she was wearing perfectly outlined her slender and graceful figure.
Moreover, her sweet temperament and beautiful face also amazed him.
“Xiao Xiao?”
“Yes… Yucheng, I can’t talk to you now, I’m going to be late for school.” Lan Xiao dodged Lou Yucheng’s touch and sidestepped him. While he was still in a daze, she quickly got into the car and closed the door.

“Xiao Xiao, you… Why are you wearing this dress? Have you forgotten our agreement?”
“Yucheng, I was too thoughtless before, so I said something that has led to a misunderstanding. The truth is, I only admire you. It was not until I met Wen Muchu that I realized what love should be. So, please forget all that I’ve said and done before,” Lan Xiao apologized in a low voice.
She used to be blind and stupid. It was as if her brain had been eaten by a dog long ago.
She had been dumb enough to fall in love with Lou Yucheng.
But now, she was acting like a bad woman who had abandoned her lover. She had bee good at making up lies.

When she saw Lou Yucheng’s ashen face,
Lan Xiao felt extremely happy.
She couldn’t help adding,
“Yucheng, I have to go. Wen Muchu is waiting for me at school. He is my boyfriend now. I have already told Dad that he saved me last night. So, I hope you won’t misunderstand him…”
