Audrey Sutton turned to ask him, "You still haven’t told why you ca here."
Shane Warner gathered his thoughts and quickly found an excuse, "Just realized I’m running low on pencils, ca in to buy so spares."
"The stationery store is next door."
"Is it?"
Audrey Sutton: "Never mind, I’ll go with you later. I have a mbership card for that store. One more purchase and I can redeem a Stitch plush."
Shane Warner: "What’s a Stitch?"
"Well, you wouldn’t get it even if I told you. I’ll go pay the deposit over there first, you wait here for ."
Watching Audrey Sutton’s retreating figure, Shane Warner was still puzzled about this "Stitch." Could it be... this is just the kind of topic young people talk about these days?
At the stationery store next door, Shane Warner casually picked up a box of pencils from the brand he usually uses, then looked back to see Audrey Sutton choosing paints on the shelf behind.
Shane Warner: "Didn’t you just restock on colors?"
Audrey Sutton: "I need to hit three hundred to earn points."
Shane Warner: "Is this ’Stitch’ thing worth three hundred?"
Audrey Sutton: "Of course not."
Shane Warner: "Then why don’t you just buy one directly?"
Audrey Sutton: "Purchasing and receiving a gift are not the sa, right? Anyway, these things will be used sooner or later, storing them at ho won’t waste them, and you get a free doll, no less. You claim to be business-minded, yet you can’t see this?"
Shane Warner never thought he would be mocked by her one day.
In the end, Shane Warner paid the bill, buying only a box of pencils but ended up spending more than three hundred.

She was overjoyed, even posted a picture on social dia, lest anyone not know how she frivolously spent money.
Audrey Sutton walked a few steps forward and noticed Shane Warner was still following behind, so she said, "I’m heading back to school, why are you still tagging along?"

Audrey Sutton pursed her lips without saying anything further, but she knew in her heart it was because he heard her ntion Simon Sue might be stalking her, and he was concerned for her safety.
Right now, the snowfall was light, and a thin layer of snow was accumulating on the ground, leaving footprints wherever they walked.
In such a scene, even walking one after another with him, Audrey Sutton felt it was particularly romantic.
Seeing a couple approaching hand in hand, laughing and chatting, Audrey Sutton felt a bit envious still.

The courtyard was covered in snow.
A black Rolls Royce stopped on the cleared road outside the courtyard.
The man inside the car just got out when a middle-aged man in a dark gray suit ca with an umbrella to et him.
"Third Young Master, didn’t expect you’d co in person."
Shane Warner followed the middle-aged man while asking, "How is he doing now?"
"Still the sa, acting crazy and deranged, but the caregiver ntioned that in the morning they heard him repeatedly muttering a rarely spoken phrase, sounded indistinctly like a na, resembling..."
Shane Warner’s gaze cooled as he glanced at the middle-aged man, "Just say it without worry."
The middle-aged man pursed his lips before speaking, "...like the na of the Second Young Master."
Upon hearing this, Shane Warner furrowed his brows, and upon entering the hospital, he was led by the doctor in charge of the perpetrator to the ward.
As the doctor opened the door, he told Shane Warner, "We are actively trying to treat him, but there hasn’t been any improvent so far."
Shane Warner: "Just ensure his safety."
After entering the ward, the doctor first chatted briefly with him, coaxing with snacks while asking, "Clay, tell your auntie, who were you calling this morning?"
Clay was the na temporarily given to him by the hospital.
Clay unwrapped a candy while warily eyeing Shane Warner, feeling unsettled by this sudden stranger’s presence.
The doctor smiled and said, "This candy is from this big brother. He has many more candies like this. If you’re good and answer his questions, all these candies will be yours."
Clay looked at Shane Warner with skepticism. The doctor gave Shane a slight nod, prompting Shane Warner to step forward, asking with a neutral tone, "Who took you to that place that day?"
A na slipped right out from Clay’s mouth, "Vincent Warner."
Then he kept repeating these three words endlessly. Despite the slight vagueness, it was clear that the na was Vincent Warner.
But it was precisely because he so clearly nad Vincent Warner that Shane Warner’s suspicion toward Vincent was lessened.
If Vincent truly orchestrated this, he would surely hide his identity well, and not let even a fool rember his na.
To verify his analysis, Shane Warner pulled out a photo of Vincent from his phone, asking Clay, "Is this him?"
Clay took a glance. Though he didn’t answer, his blank expression revealed that he had not seen the person in the photo.
No further information could be gathered. It seed Clay had been both manipulated and conditioned to rember Vincent Warner’s na, so whenever asked about who, he would just blurt out that na.
The lead was broken once more, leaving Shane Warner wondering who else would want him dead besides Vincent Warner.
Possibly, as Lan Irving ntioned in the hospital, that person’s aim was not him but to sow discord between him and Vincent Warner.
This explanation seed the most plausible now, but Shane Warner didn’t agree with Lan Irving’s suspicion about the Suttons.
Audrey Sutton had been married to him for so long, never once ntioning anything about her family’s interests, nor had she ever sought anything for the Suttons.
Though the Suttons were not as prominent as the Warners, they were self-sufficient and wouldn’t conduct such deeds.
And wasn’t Lan Irving’s statent sowhat overly targeting the Suttons?
But that knife was taken by Lan Irving for him, and she had no reason to act that way.
Having eliminated these suspects, Shane Warner couldn’t think of anyone else.
"Bzz—bzz—"
Shane Warner pulled out the buzzing phone from his pocket and heard Faye Xavier’s voice on the other end, "Master Shane, Mr. Bishop suddenly fainted during the eting, I’m taking him to the hospital now. Could you co over this afternoon? There’s a contract that needs signing."
