"The person blown away by the wind said he didn’t love deeply..."

Audrey Sutton’s phone ringtone sounded, and Shane Warner looked up at the sound, only then realizing she had fallen asleep.

The phone was right by her pillow, the ringtone wasn’t loud, and she had no reaction at all.

Shane Warner got up and answered the call; it was the delivery person.

He went downstairs to get the delivery; it was quite a substantial amount, indicating that she had also ordered sothing for him.

After bringing the delivery upstairs, looking at her sleeping soundly, Shane Warner hesitated for a mont by the bed before deciding not to wake her.

Eating these things late at night wouldn’t be good for her.

Earlier, she had complained about being too hungry to sleep, and now she was sleeping soundly.

Shane Warner placed the delivery bag on the table by the window, finished up the work he had left, and realized it was already late.

Standing by the bed, looking down at her peacefully asleep with the blanket wrapped around her, it was hard to imagine how restless she was while sleeping.

Yet, even though Shane Warner knew she liked to "practice martial arts" in bed at night, he didn’t want to move her back to her own room.

After that night, neither of them ntioned what happened again, and they were back to being "roommates."

That night, she might not rember anything because she was drunk, but he clearly knew what he had done and vividly rembered those beautiful monts.

Looking at the girl in his bed, he was tempted to relive that night’s happiness but couldn’t bear to trouble her.

Under the moonlight, he sat by the bed looking at her features; at the ti, the phrase "as gorgeous as a blooming flower" was not just casually said. He felt that such praise was very fitting for her.

She wasn’t the type to amaze at first sight, but the more you looked at her, the more comfortable she seed, with fair cheeks tinged with a cherry hue, radiating the youth of her age.

Especially after seeing her smile, one couldn’t help but be captivated.

It was like sothing addictive, and he no longer had a way to quit thinking about her.

His hand unconsciously reached out to her slightly rounded cheeks, his thumb gently sliding along her brows and eyes, as if caressing a delicate, fragile porcelain, with eyes full of fondness.

In her sleep, she seed to sense his touch, turning her head and rolling over, facing away from him.

Afraid of waking her, Shane Warner, with eyes full of tenderness like a father, looked down at her, then adjusted the blanket before getting in himself.

He stretched out his arm, gently pulling her into his embrace, inhaling the fragrance of her hair, and closed his eyes.

By the riverside villa area, inside a two-story villa near the shore.

On the glass-enclosed curved balcony, a woman’s long curly hair cascaded over the back of a chair, wearing a thin purple silk nightgown, with a knitted shawl draped over her shoulders. Her fingers, painted with red nail polish, held the stem of a wine glass, her gaze unfocused as she looked at the night scene outside the window under the streetlights.

A car’s engine could be heard from outside, the woman’s eyes moved slightly, she placed down the wine glass in her hand, adjusted the shawl slipping off her shoulder, and walked in slippers to the door.

Without waiting for the person outside to open the door or knock, the woman opened it first.

"Madam." The man greeted her respectfully upon seeing her.

Chloe Swift nodded slightly, lowering her eyes to look at Vincent Warner, who was so drunk he could barely walk straight, supported by the man’s arms. She stood silently for a few seconds, then stepped aside to let them in, saying lightly, "Help him inside."

The man nodded and complied, helping Vincent Warner to the sofa inside the house, while Chloe Swift, about to speak but hesitating, heard her say, "Thank you, you can go ho now."

The man didn’t say much, turned around, and left, closing the door behind him.

This ti, Chloe Swift didn’t ask him why he drank or how much he drank.

It was clear that this wasn’t the first ti Vincent Warner had been sent ho completely wasted, and Chloe Swift seed to have grown accustod to it.

"Stella..." In his drunken state, he mumbled the girl’s na.

She had heard it countless tis, but each ti it was more piercing than the last.

Chloe Swift once thought that he and that girl were exactly as the rumors said, rely a sponsor and his mistress.

After getting married, she had personally confird that that girl had gone abroad and had not had any contact with him.

So she thought that as long as the girl disappeared from his life, he would gradually accept the marriage and slowly fall in love with her.

Yet as ti passed in their marriage, she discovered a frightening truth—that he and that girl had more than just a financial and physical relationship; he loved her.

From the many tis he was drunk and affectionately called her "Stella," it was clear how important that girl was to him.

If not for the sake of the company’s stable developnt, he might have already asked for a divorce and gone in pursuit of his own love.

In her monts of despair, Chloe Swift also thought about proposing a divorce, but a sense of reluctance in her heart prevented her from making such a decision.

She had finally married him, and even though the situation wasn’t blissful, it wasn’t to the extent of watching him marry soone else.

She bent down to take off his shoes, neatly placing them beside the entrance, and took out his slippers from the shoe cabinet, placing them next to the sofa.

His room was locked, and she couldn’t get in, so she took her blanket from her own bed and covered him with it.

She stood by the sofa for a long ti, then turned off the crystal chandelier in the living room, leaving only the floor lamp by the sofa on, and went back to her own room.

Lying on the bed in the cold, dark night, hoping for dawn to co soon...

In the deep and quiet night, cool white moonlight stread through the window into the bedroom.

On the still as a picture bed, a part of the blanket suddenly lifted, letting in a chilly draft.

Shane Warner awoke from his sleep, thinking she had started to "practice martial arts" again in the middle of the night, so he just reached out to pull the blanket back over her.

But then he saw her sit up, her voice groggy, saying, "Barbecue..."

Shane Warner thought she was dreaming, pressing her back down in an attempt to get her to sleep again, but her craving for food made her insistent, "Where’s the delivery I ordered? Did anyone call?"

Shane Warner: "..."

You’d say she wasn’t awake, but she rembered ordering food; you’d say she was awake, yet how could she do sothing like waking up at three or four in the morning just to look for barbecue?

She patted the pillow in search of her phone but didn’t find it, then reached to the nightstand, soon locating the light switch.

"Click—"

The glaring light turned on, Shane Warner squinted his eyes as he sat up, watching Audrey Sutton reach for the phone on the nightstand. Seeing no missed calls, she turned to ask him, "How long have I been sleeping? Did anyone call?"

Shane Warner replied with a trace of fatigue and helplessness, "Look at what ti it is."

Audrey Sutton paused, then imdiately checked her phone again, "It’s four o’clock??"

In her surprise, she glanced at Shane Warner, whose robe was partially open at the collar, and then around, confirming that she was in his room.

Realizing they had shared the bed, Audrey Sutton beca flustered, stamring, "You, you, you... why didn’t you wake ?"
