Audrey Sutton was slowly eating pastries and sipping her drink when she was about to get up and pay the bill. She saw a familiar person walk into the store.
The person was wearing a mask, but Audrey Sutton still recognized Simon Sue.
"What a coincidence, you’re here too. I was just about to co find you," Simon Sue greeted Audrey Sutton openly.
Audrey Sutton glanced at him, "Find ?"
"Forgot? We didn’t finish talking about yesterday’s matter."
Audrey Sutton couldn’t resist her curiosity. Although she felt that not knowing Simon Sue in the past wouldn’t affect her current life, she just wanted to figure out who he really was and what he wanted.
"What do you want to eat? Sit and talk while eating?"
Audrey Sutton looked around the café, noticing the expansive glass everywhere. Not to ntion the possibility of being photographed by so ill-intentioned person, if a student from school saw her, it might lead to so wild rumors.
As a married young woman, Audrey Sutton was very cautious.
Like a spy eting contact, she stood at the cashier while checking out and said, "See you on the second floor of the library."
She didn’t even say this directly to Simon Sue.
Once she finished paying, she turned and left the store.
Simon Sue smiled and, pretending to be nonchalant, bought two cups of milk tea.
He went up to the library’s second floor and quickly found Audrey Sutton sitting in the corner by the window.
She looked like a student unable to solve exam questions, with a test paper in front of her and a pen in her hand, but she didn’t bury herself in the work like a top student; rather, she was sneakily glancing around.
Simon Sue had pulled up the hood of his hoodie, wearing a mask on his face, so even his fans wouldn’t recognize him.
He placed the bag containing the milk tea on the table and said softly, "I bought you a cup."
As soon as he finished speaking, Audrey Sutton hurriedly held her index finger to her lips, signaling him not to speak.
Then she tapped the seat across from her, motioning him to sit down.
Simon Sue did as instructed, watching her write sothing down on her notebook with a pen, before sneakily glancing around once more. Confirming no one was watching, she slid the small notebook with writing over to Simon Sue.
The notebook read: Speak through this.
Simon Sue chuckled and picked up the pen she had placed on the notebook to respond.
While Simon Sue was writing, Audrey Sutton kept her head down, pretending to read attentively, resembling a classmate secretly passing notes during class.
After a while, Simon Sue pushed the notebook back, but Audrey Sutton first saw the cell phone on top of the notebook before reading its content.
The phone screen displayed a QR code.
She moved the phone aside to see underneath it a ssage that said: Add on WhatsApp and chat, isn’t it easier?
Audrey Sutton thought, that made sense.
There were plenty of people in the library using their phones, and it wouldn’t arouse suspicion.
So she lowered her head, took out her phone from her bag, scanned the QR code, and added him as a friend.
Simon Sue reached out for his own phone, accepted the friend request.
Canvas Unspeakable: Go ahead.
Su: Seems like you’re still curious about .
Canvas Unspeakable: Speak or don’t, I’m busy going ho to make dinner for my husband.
As she sent the ssage, Simon Sue sent a photo over.
The photo showed a chubby little boy about five or six years old, with a shaved head, looking simple-minded.
Audrey Sutton found him sowhat familiar.
Su: This is when I was little.
Audrey Sutton was stunned, unsure whether to be surprised that Simon Sue was her childhood friend or to marvel at how this chubby little kid had completely transford.
Audrey Sutton looked up in shock at Simon Sue, then back at the photo, opening her mouth to speak directly. She suddenly rembered they were in the library and quickly stopped, responding via phone: You’re the chubby kid?
Su: I recognized you at first glance.
Canvas Unspeakable: Did you get costic surgery?
Su: Haven’t you heard that chubby kids have great potential?
Canvas Unspeakable: Then why didn’t you say so earlier, always keeping it mysterious.
Then Audrey Sutton considered another possibility, straightforwardly asking him: You’re not pretending, are you?
Su: You used to call ’Chubby Brother’ not ’Chubby Kid.’
Hearing this title, Audrey Sutton could be almost certain that this chubby kid was not an impostor.
But the confident, sunny young man before her now looked completely different from the chubby kid she once knew!
Audrey Sutton rembered that when he was a child, due to his plumpness, he was bullied and ostracized by the kids in the neighborhood. He was very self-deprecating and would often be on the sidelines with a runny nose watching them play.
