The store was bustling with custors, lively and crowded.
Two girls nearby recognized Shane Warner, and, delighted, started taking pictures of him while discussing, which gradually spread inside the store.
Originally, people ca to browse and select jewelry, but now most of their attention was on Shane Warner.
This incident helped the store staff confirm that their boss had arrived, and they quickly summoned the store manager for a personal reception.
The store manager smiled at Shane Warner and said, "President Warner, why didn’t you give us a heads-up before coming?"
Shane Warner replied offhandedly, "Just accompanying my wife for so casual shopping. You all carry on with your work; don’t mind ."
"Alright, alright, just call us anyti if you need anything."
"Hmm."
Shane Warner simply trailed Audrey Sutton as she took a loop around the shop, both floors upstairs and downstairs, overwheld by the abundance of products.
She turned around with a smile and asked Shane Warner, "Boss, I want to buy a pair of earrings. Can you recomnd a suitable pair for ?"
Shane Warner glanced at her bare earlobes, recalling how he rarely saw her wear earrings. She generally didn’t have many accessories on her, except for the ring, which she started wearing after they got married.
Other than that, she seed to have no habit of wearing necklaces or bracelets.
Shane Warner led Audrey Sutton upstairs, where he appeared to have already thought of the perfect style for her. After arriving upstairs, he told the staff the na of the style, and shortly thereafter, an employee ca carrying several pairs of earrings, saying, "Madam, please co over here to try them on."
Audrey Sutton nodded with a smile, then handed Shane Warner the Pink Panther she was holding along with her unfinished milk tea, and happily followed the staff to the mirror to sit down.
As the employee sterilized the earrings, Audrey Sutton spotted Shane Warner from the mirror handing the things in his hands to the staff beside him and then walking over towards her.
He wiped his hands with an alcohol cloth, then reached out to take the sanitized ear studs from the employee, saying softly, "Let do it."
The employee exchanged glances with Audrey Sutton, understandingly smiled, stepped aside to make room for Shane Warner, then stood by to spray disinfectant on the remaining pairs of earrings.
Audrey Sutton hadn’t expected Shane Warner to personally help her put on earrings. Her heart was like a joyous little deer bouncing away, yet she tried hard to hide her delighted smile.
He picked up an alcohol swab, gently wiped her earlobe, the cool touch causing Audrey Sutton’s naturally sensitive spine to tense.
From the mirror, she watched Shane Warner slightly bend over, lower his head, and gently insert the ear stud into her earlobe.
His fingers were warm, creating a stark contrast to the chill of the alcohol, making Audrey Sutton feel her ears were on fire, and in the mirror, one could faintly see the red tint emanating on her cheeks.
After fitting both ear studs, he lifted her loose strands of hair and lightly tucked them behind her ears, then directed his gaze at her reflection in the mirror, asking softly, "How’s this pair?"
Audrey Sutton smiled and nodded repeatedly, "Looks good."
"Try the others as well."
Audrey Sutton nodded obediently, sitting quietly while Shane Warner helped her try on another pair of earrings.
Her heart was blooming with joy, yet she maintained control over her expressions, realizing how hard it must be for him to keep such a stoic expression daily.
Every pair of earrings she tried looked good; it wasn’t just because Shane Warner picked them that she loved them, but because they genuinely were attractive.
Audrey Sutton thought that, although it was his own brand and he could pick anything, considering the price tags on these earrings weren’t cheap, she intended to select only two pairs to take ho, but Shane Warner told the staff to pack up all the pairs she tried.
After another loop around the shop, she finally found the store Shane Warner ntioned and bought a razor for her brother.
Audrey Sutton thought they hadn’t bought much, yet Shane Warner already carried seven or eight bags.
She, in contrast, just had one Pink Panther, which Shane Warner refused to carry, saying how could a grown man walk down the street holding a bright pink leopard.
Audrey Sutton didn’t understand his aversion toward such cute things; after all, it wasn’t heavy, so carrying it herself wasn’t a bother.
Ultimately, the milk tea she bought for him ended up being drunk by Audrey Sutton herself.
Feeling tired from all the walking, Audrey Sutton decided to find a restaurant to sit down and wait for dinner before 5 PM.
They started by ordering two drinks, and the two relaxed in a booth by the window on the second floor.
Soon after sitting down, soone called him, and without any hesitation, he answered the call right in front of her, confirming it was about work.
Bored, Audrey Sutton took out her phone to check, rembering her original intention was to grill Shane Warner about what gift he wanted for New Year, yet she ended up shopping around herself.
Glancing at his wristwatch, Audrey Sutton decided not to fret over it.
The gift doesn’t necessarily need to be unique or creative; it’s enough if it’s sothing he truly wants.
Just like this watch, he ntioned he wanted to buy it for himself, so she accidentally hit the mark, noticing that for this period, he always wore this particular watch.
Buying him useful things, allowing him to think of her whenever he uses them, seed adequate.
Once Shane Warner finished the call, Audrey Sutton queried, "Hey, wanna play gas?"
Shane Warner put his phone down, lazily glancing at her, saying, "You keep saying ’hey’ this and ’hey’ that, don’t I have a na?"
Audrey Sutton quickly changed her phrasing, "Brother, wanna play gas?"
The term "Brother" rattled Shane Warner’s heart because he instantly recalled her saying "Brother Warner" that night.
Of course, Shane Warner didn’t show he was moved by her and remained aloof while taking out his phone to start the ga.
With his lead, Audrey Sutton finally got her first-ever victory badge in the ga.
"How are you so good at gas?" she exclaid genuinely.
Shane Warner snorted coldly, "I’m good at more than just gas."
Audrey Sutton glared at him, "Can you stop making everything sound suggestive?"
Shane Warner retorted, "What suggestive? Besides being great at gas, I’m good at making money, cooking, and you’re the one with thoughts full of yellow ideas thinking everything is suggestive."
"I’m done talking to you."
"Wanna play more?"
Audrey Sutton glanced at the ti; it was nearly 6 PM, and she felt a bit hungry, "Let’s eat, then head ho, I feel tired from shopping all day."
"Hmm. Which day is your book signing?"
Audrey Sutton browsed the nu while replying, "This Saturday."
"Need to gather so audience for you?"
Audrey Sutton raised her head, saying, "I’m actually worried about this. It’ll be my first signing event. If other authors have huge crowds while mine is quiet, it’ll be so embarrassing."
