As soon as Shane walked out of the elevator, General imdiately ran toward him.

Anxiously circling at his legs, it wasn’t the usual enthusiastic affection when he returned ho, but more like he wanted to lead him sowhere.

Shane glanced at the leash on General’s neck and rembered he had reminded Audrey to take the dog for a walk. Clearly, General didn’t co out from ho on his own, as if sothing had happened on the road.

Shane held onto the leash and followed General outside the company while dialing Audrey’s phone number.

The call connected, but it was quickly hung up.

When he called again, the phone was turned off.

He had a bad feeling but couldn’t figure out what had happened to her.

Because there were no anomalies these days, she even sent him pictures during dinner, bragging about the delicious food she was having.

Following General up to the bridge, General soon stopped and started barking at a spot.

Shane looked at the road, which was the route from ho to the company, and clearly, General was indicating that sothing happened to Audrey here.

He glanced at the surrounding environnt and saw a traffic cara not far away. Shane imdiately called Faye Xavier to check the surveillance.

However, there was no result for the ti being.

Every second of waiting was tornt for Shane.

He didn’t know what had happened to her, what kind of suffering she was enduring sowhere right now.

He dared not think of the worst, even hoping that kidnappers had taken her away, eagerly awaiting a call demanding ransom money.

His phone remained silent. In the "Lucky Nine Treasures" chat group, her mom had just asked a few minutes ago what she wanted for breakfast the next morning.

Without her response, Shane didn’t dare to inform her family of this news.

"Buzz—Buzz—" His phone vibrated in his hand; Shane thought it was a call from Faye, but it turned out to be from Lan Irving.

Seeing Lan Irving’s na brought certain possibilities to his blank mind.

He answered the call, and Lan’s voice ca from the other end: "What happened? I just saw you and Faye rushing out."

Shane didn’t know whether Lan was genuinely concerned or probing for information. Considering the incident at the funeral with the assailant last ti, Shane felt she might be capable of sothing crazy. He didn’t say anything directly, just lightly asked her back, "What do you think?"

Lan paused, not understanding the situation, but from Shane’s tone, instinctively felt it was likely related to Audrey.

Before she could respond further, Shane’s voice sounded again: "Where is she?"

His tone was neither loud nor soft, but it cut into her heart like a sharp knife.

Audrey has had an accident, and now he’s indiscriminately suspecting her?

She thought that taking that risk last ti gained her so trust, but it seed, no matter what she did, she couldn’t compare to a hair from Audrey in his heart.

"I don’t know." Lan Irving said those four words and hung up the call.

Shane didn’t know if her attitude was out of anger at his suspicion or if she was keeping so information.

But he wasn’t willing to let go of any clues, and his steps took him back to the company to ask Lan Irving again.

After hanging up, Lan imdiately called Ivan Yardley.

"What’s up, Anna?"

"Where are you now?" Lan’s tone was slightly anxious.

Ivan paused, not directly answering her question: "Miss ?"

"Audrey is missing." She paused, asking directly, "Did you do it?"

There was silence on the phone for a few seconds before Ivan’s voice reappeared: "Yes."

"What did you do?! Why didn’t you discuss it with first?! Where is she now? Shane is already searching all over for her!"

Compared to Lan’s anxious tone, Ivan appeared relaxed and fearless: "Anna, don’t worry, this has nothing to do with you. Just rember that. I just wanted to make you a bit happier; let handle these dirty things. That’s all for now, I have other things to attend to."

Lan stared at the hung-up call, feeling uneasy as she didn’t know what Ivan had done or if Shane would trace it back to him.

But it was clear that Shane had already begun to suspect her.

"Bang—" Behind her, soone forcefully pushed open the office door.

Lan turned to see the man who had entered the room.

At this mont, the other people in the office had already left. She had planned to pack her things and go ho too but didn’t anticipate such an incident happening.

Watching Shane storm over, with even a murderous intent in his eyes, it was the first ti Lan saw him look so terrifying.

His voice was low, yet chilling: "Where is she?"

Lan swallowed subconsciously, staring at him, emphasizing as she replied, "I don’t know."

Shane glared at her sharply, as if judging whether she was lying, the worry and panic over Audrey’s disappearance leaving him less rational than usual.

"Don’t let find out this is related to you. If anything happens to her, you can accompany her as well!"

Lan’s eyes trembled slightly as she watched his departing figure in amusent.

Her smile was filled with mockery.

Accompany her in death?

Why did she suddenly wish that woman would really die?

Simon Sue, having finished a day of filming, received a ssage from Clarissa Morgan on his way ho: Shane, are you free for a drink?

Simon was a bit puzzled about why Clarissa suddenly wanted to drink with him: What’s up?

Clarissa replied: The feedback from fans on the last performance was quite positive, so after the New Year, I want to invite you for an interview program.

Simon replied: I have two movies to shoot after the New Year, not sure if I’ll have the ti.

Clarissa: Let’s et and discuss in detail, I’ll send you the location.

Simon checked the location; it was at a hotel right behind the hotel he was staying at, not far away.

Given their friendship, he couldn’t easily refuse, so he asked the driver to stop at that hotel, telling his agent he was eting a friend.

The agent, thinking he was looking to solve so personal matters, jokingly said, "Have fun, but make sure no one takes pictures, wear your mask."

Simon didn’t explain much, put on a mask, and headed into the hotel.

Following Clarissa’s room number, he reached the door with the help of hotel staff, who opened it and left.

Simon pushed the door open and noticed the room was pitch-black, with no lights on.

"Clarissa?" He tentatively called out, but there was no response.
