Phoebe King walked into the store and imdiately liked a sheer nightgown: "This looks great, sexy yet classy, not at all vulgar."
Audrey Sutton looked at the European court-style nightgown, the design was quite nice, but the fabric was way too revealing.
She quickly pulled Phoebe King away: "...Let’s look at sothing else."
But upon turning her head, there was nothing less revealing, only more revealing.
Each piece made her hesitant to look further.
"How about this one? What color does Shane like? I think both red and black are very sexy."
Audrey: "...Forget it, Sister Phoebe, this is just too..."

She even said to Audrey, "With these ’magic tools,’ I guarantee Shane will be attached to you forever!"
Although Audrey wanted Shane to be attached to her, she knew these six outfits wouldn’t have any effect, since she would never wear them in front of Shane.
But Phoebe disregarded Audrey’s refusal, gleefully swiped her card to pay, then while carrying several bags, said while walking out the store, "Since I wasn’t at your wedding, consider these my belated wedding gifts for you guys."
Audrey awkwardly laughed as she took the bags of clothes, feeling a bit embarrassed even holding them, already planning to hide them in her wardrobe when she got ho, ensuring Shane wouldn’t discover them.
Clothes, costics, jewelry, bags, shoes...
They almost browsed every store they passed by.
As they passed the store where Flora Lane worked, Audrey went in to check on her, as Flora had ntioned she’d be working that afternoon.
Wearing the store’s uniform, looking very professional, Flora had adapted quite well to the job.
Flora was naturally eloquent, so the job ca easy to her.
The store had a reward system: eting the sales target would earn extra bonuses, and they would compete with other offline stores for sales rankings. This fostered teamwork among employees, creating a relaxed working atmosphere.
With custors entering the store one after another needing attention, Audrey didn’t chat much with Flora, leaving the milk tea and snacks she bought for the staff before leaving.
After all, she was considered the boss’s wife; even if she hadn’t secured her position yet, she had to act the part, ensuring employees thought highly of her.
Audrey initially planned to go ho to have dinner with Shane, but Phoebe suggested if Audrey left, she’d have to eat alone that night.
Sounding quite pitiful, Audrey decided to accompany Phoebe for dinner instead.
After choosing a restaurant and sitting at the table, Audrey texted Shane informing him, to which he replied: Call when you’re heading back, I’ll co to pick you up.
It was a tacit approval.
Audrey texted back: No need, Sister Phoebe is driving, she’ll give a ride back.
Shane, probably aware of Phoebe’s wild driving, imdiately replied: Tell her to drive slowly.
Before Audrey could respond, she heard Phoebe’s phone ringing.
She grabbed her phone and muttered, "Shane?"
Audrey paused her typing and watched Phoebe answer the call.
She could barely hear Shane’s voice from the phone, but Audrey couldn’t make out what he was saying. She only saw Phoebe roll her eyes, replying dismissively and impatiently, "Got it, got it, I won’t lose your wife, seriously."
"Why are you worried about my driving? I promise to return your wife safe and sound, alright?"
"Alright, alright, when did you beco so naggy, Shane?"
"Okay, okay, I’m eating now, bye." With that, Phoebe promptly hung up the call.
Audrey didn’t hear what Shane said, but could guess based on Phoebe’s reactions.
Then Phoebe asked, "Is Shane this naggy at ho?"
Audrey chuckled sowhat embarrassedly, nodding: "A little bit."
Phoebe complained: "He wasn’t like this before, he’d barely utter a word for ages. I thought he’d call for sothing important, but he told not to feed you junk food, watch over you so you don’t get lost, and to drive slowly on the way ho. Honestly, if you know I’m shopping with his wife, you’d think I was taking his child out."
"He’s just like that, worried about everything, always feels like if he’s not watching , I can’t manage myself."
Phoebe suddenly switched tones: "But that’s good, it shows Shane really cares about you. I wish your brother could nag like that."
Audrey laughed and said, "Actually, my brother can be quite naggy too."
"But he doesn’t nag at ; he only tells to buzz off. Even though I’m so proactive, he still acts indifferent to . Never t a guy so hard to chase."
"I think maybe...my brother doesn’t know how to handle you since he hasn’t t soone as proactive as you. He might be a bit overwheld."
Phoebe sighed with a frown: "But if I’m not proactive, he wouldn’t co to himself."
Audrey bit down on her juice straw, paused, and said: "Probably my brother thinks you’re not serious, that you’re just playing around. So he’s hesitant to agree. Maybe he’s considering it now."
Phoebe nodded in agreent: "I think so too, it’s all because of my foolishness that night, so now he thinks I’m a particularly frivolous girl."
