Shane also felt that there were more obstacles than he imagined. After walking for several minutes, feeling like his throat was hoarse from shouting, he finally saw the illuminated "EXIT" in green letters.

"We’re there, don’t be afraid." He reassured her, who was terrified.

Hearing his words, she finally dared to open her eyes and look ahead.

Seeing the "EXIT" made her let down her guard.

The room was pitch black, so dark that you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face, only the glow of the "EXIT" sign. Shane held Audrey’s hand and walked straight in that direction.

"Could there still be sothing around?" Audrey shivered, her steps becoming hesitant.

Shane: "We can’t just stay here. Let’s go. Co in front of , and I’ll protect you."

Audrey slipped in front of him along his arm, leaning her back against his chest, which imdiately made her feel much more secure.

They moved forward slowly, getting closer and closer to the "EXIT."

Shane thought that even if sothing scary appeared in this pitch blackness, they wouldn’t be able to see it, and since they were almost at the exit, it shouldn’t be too scary.

He figured at most the lights would flicker or sothing, so he let down his guard.

Suddenly, a fluorescent ball rolled across the floor, rolling towards them with a "gulu gulu."

When Audrey saw it clearly, she scread, "It’s an eyeball!"

Shane kicked the fluorescent ball away with his foot, telling her, "It’s a marble."

The mont he put his foot down after kicking away the fluorescent ball, he suddenly felt sothing wrap around his ankle...

"Shit!" he cursed under his breath, his most genuine reaction in that mont of fright.

Then, an ancient voice echoed from all around, wailing, "My eyes...my eyes..."

Shane shook off the hand gripping his ankle with his foot, reached out, and touched a door in front of him, pushing it open gently so the light from outside shone in.

As if reborn, Audrey imdiately darted outside, standing in the open air still shaken, taking a deep breath, "I was scared to death."

Shane chuckled, teasing her, "Your voice is hoarse."

Audrey took a couple of deep breaths to calm her heartbeat, then looked up to ask him, "Did you just curse?"

Shane: "No."

Audrey: "I heard it."

Shane: "You heard wrong."

Audrey laughed with a "hmph hmph," "You say you’re not scared, but you were frightened too, weren’t you?"

Shane turned and kept walking onward, "Boring."

Audrey reached out to hold him back, "Wait for Bear and them."

The haunted house wasn’t far from the Ferris wheel, and there were quite a few people in line.

In line, Audrey was munching on the cookies she brought and chatting enthusiastically with Barry Barrett about their experience in the haunted house.

She was so frightened earlier she almost cried, but now she was laughing, teasing Shane, "He was so scared he cursed out loud."

Shane just gave her a sidelong glance, not bothered to comnt on how scared she was.

Shane didn’t say anything about Audrey’s cowardice, but Barry Barrett exposed her, "I heard you screaming from the back, listen to how hoarse your voice is."

"You have no idea, that fake head fell right on , I was dumbfounded"

Barry Barrett laughed heartily, mocking her rcilessly, "You were already dumb, hahahaha."

Audrey imdiately shook Shane’s arm, pretending to complain, "She insulted your wife!"

Shane glanced at her, responding, "She’s not wrong."

Audrey’s small hand released, "I’ll buy you insurance tomorrow!"

Barry Barrett looked at them feigning a quarrel, but in fact, they were subtly flaunting their affection.

Standing behind Barry Barrett, Nolan Hawke had his eyes fixed on Audrey’s face, unnoticed by anyone.

He stared at her expressionlessly and thoughtfully.

It wasn’t until Barry Barrett turned to look at him that he unobtrusively withdrew his gaze, smiling slightly as he asked Barry Barrett, "What’s up? Tired?"

Barry Barrett moved back a step, leaning on his chest, "Are you tired?"

Nolan Hawke chuckled, "How could I be tired with you?"

Barry Barrett clearly enjoyed his answer, smiled, and said, "I’m not tired either."

By the ti they boarded the Ferris wheel, it was already past eight.

A cabin could originally seat four people, but since most were young couples, they chose a cabin for just two.

In the cabin, Audrey and Shane sat facing each other, gazing at the night view through the sa window.

She gently bumped his toes with hers, making Shane shift his gaze to her.

With their eyes eting, Audrey smiled and asked, "Don’t you find it romantic?"

"This is romantic?"

Audrey rolled her eyes, "Do you even know what romance is? You’re always stern with , either scolding or teasing . You should learn from Boss Hawke, just say whatever’s on your mind, instead of saying one thing but aning another."

Shane coldly asked, "You think he’s better?"

Audrey nodded, "At least in this regard, he’s better than you."

"Then you should be with him."

Audrey knew he would say that, smiled, "He’s not as handso as you."

By now, she had figured out Shane’s temper and knew how to playfully tease his emotions.

Shane snorted coldly, seemingly displeased with her, but in fact, he liked flattery, and hearing her praise put him in a good mood.

"Knock knock—" He knocked on the empty seat beside him, lazily said to Audrey, "Co here."

Audrey looked at him, puzzled, then after a couple of seconds walked over and sat next to him.

The cabin was slowly rising, overlooking the city’s nightscape, splendid and beautiful.

Perhaps it was because she had soone she liked beside her, everything felt beautiful.

Shane leaned towards her, closing the distance between them; their eyes t, and the cabin seed to grow warr.

Wrapped up in his coat, Audrey felt like ants were crawling all over her, her nervousness heating her up.

Shane held her shoulder, slowly bending towards her, and Audrey’s lips unconsciously moved slightly, causing her to naturally close her eyes...

In that heated mont, she heard him chuckle softly.

Audrey imdiately opened her eyes, seeing him indeed smiling at her, as if teasing her.

Annoyed, Audrey reached out to push him away, but Shane instead grabbed her wrist, glanced at the hand at her back, pulling her closer to him.

The kiss descended as the cabin reached the highest point.

Outside the window, the neon lights flickered in the night breeze, the night sky a dark blue, moonlit without stars, adding a quiet touch to the bustling night.

Shane released her, watching her eyes misty, breathing heavily.

They’d done even more intimate things, but her skin was thin, and she still blushed easily, the night couldn’t hide it.

Her dark eyes were clear, reflecting his own image.

She blinked, her voice light and hoarse as she asked him, "You’re starting to like , right?"
