Nolan Hawke and the man with the mustache looked at each other, both assuming the other was a friend.
Audrey Sutton was the first to speak: "Brother Xavier, how co you’re here?"
Audrey Sutton’s first reaction was to wonder whether Faye Xavier and Nolan Hawke were friends as well.
Faye Xavier walked in with a smile, explaining, "I’m here for a al too. I saw you earlier and thought you ca with Master Shane, so I thought I’d join you for a bite."
Audrey Sutton: "He went on a business trip, didn’t you know?"
Faye Xavier feigned surprise and said, "Master Shane went on a business trip? He didn’t tell ."
After saying that, Faye Xavier looked at the two gentlen at the table, causing Audrey Sutton to panic, worried that Faye Xavier might misunderstand her, thinking that since Shane Warner was on a business trip, she was out with strange n, and with not just one, but two.
Faye Xavier, being Shane Warner’s subordinate, naturally leaned more towards Shane Warner, possibly going straight out to tattle to Shane Warner.
So Audrey Sutton imdiately explained: "... Shane and I are planning to take so artistic photos. These two are photographers, and I’ve co to discuss the shoot with them."
Faye Xavier nodded in understanding. The square table was originally ant for four people, and now there was just one empty spot.
Faye Xavier then pulled out the chair at the empty spot and said, "There’s just enough room. You don’t mind if I sit here, do you? This al is on Master Shane."
Nolan Hawke, although a bit confused about where this extra person ca from, figured this person seed to have close ties with Shane Warner, so he imdiately smiled and nodded, "Of course not, it’s fate that we can dine together."
Faye Xavier smiled slightly. He was only following orders to keep an eye on the young lady. As for the two n eting the young lady, he couldn’t care less.
Audrey Sutton felt very awkward, thinking Faye Xavier wasn’t usually so oblivious, clearly intending to stick around on purpose.
She even felt that his appearance wasn’t a coincidence.
Anyway, with a familiar face around, Audrey Sutton felt a lot more at ease, although Faye Xavier’s presence was sowhat awkward.
But since he was thick-skinned enough to sit down, she didn’t pay it much mind.
Faye Xavier started chatting casually with the two n, while Audrey Sutton lowered her head to look at the nu, picked two dishes she wanted, and handed the nu back to Nolan Hawke, "I’ve ordered, you guys can choose what else you want to eat."
"Ding-dong—"
The phone in her bag chid once, and Audrey Sutton lowered her head to take it out.
The ssage was from Shane Warner: Eating yet?
Audrey Sutton typed her reply: Yeah, what about you?
He sent a photo, showing the steak he was currently eating; there was soone else visible opposite him in the picture. Audrey Sutton asked: Who are you eating with?
Imdiately, another photo arrived, showing Mor slicing steak, apparently unaware that Shane Warner was photographing him.
Audrey Sutton was just casually asking, not expecting him to respond so seriously.
Smiling at her phone screen unconsciously, Shane Warner then asked: What about you? Who are you eating with?
Audrey Sutton glanced at Faye Xavier, who was grinning beside her, and replied: Your surveillance is already here, don’t you know who I’m dining with?
Shane Warner: Just wanted to see if you were lying to .
His response essentially confird Faye Xavier was sent by him.
No wonder he agreed so readily last night to let her go out for a al; he had it planned all along.
This crafty man.
It’s likely he was worried about her safety, which is why he sent Faye Xavier.
Before Faye Xavier arrived, she was indeed quite suspicious; after he ca, she wasn’t as worried as before.
The mustache man roughly discussed with Audrey Sutton the style and type of photos he wished to shoot, keeping the conversation focused on photography without anything unusual.
Originally, the mustache man wanted to schedule the shoot for this afternoon or tomorrow, but Audrey Sutton deferred it to the weekend, saying she had classes.
By then Shane Warner would have returned from his business trip, and there wasn’t much going on at the company, so Shane Warner usually had weekends free.
The lunch went smoothly enough, and after the al, Faye Xavier gave Audrey Sutton a lift back to school.
After leaving the restaurant, Nolan Hawke headed straight to a ballet dance studio next to the school, entering through a side door.
The studio was on lunch break, with students arriving at two in the afternoon.
When Nolan Hawke arrived, Clarissa Morgan was doing leg stretches in the studio.
Seeing Nolan Hawke co in through the mirror, Clarissa Morgan maintained her stretch and asked, "How’s it going?"
Nolan Hawke replied, "Hard to make any moves; Shane Warner is keeping a close watch on her, he even sent soone to follow her during lunch."
Clarissa Morgan stretched her body, switched legs, and exhaled, "Seems like last ti’s incident alerted the snake."
Nolan Hawke leaned against the iron railing, took out a cigarette pack from his bag, pulled out a cigarette, and lit it.
Clarissa Morgan was silent for a while before asking, "How’s progress on your end?"
Nolan Hawke took a puff, replied, "She has no guard against ; she believes whatever I say, easy to deceive. But I don’t understand why I have to deal with such a naive and innocent girl, I honestly have no interest."
Clarissa Morgan chuckled, "Her connection makes it easier for you to approach Audrey Sutton."
Nolan Hawke laughed, holding the cigarette in his mouth, walked behind Clarissa Morgan, wrapped his arms around her waist, and whispered in her ear with ambiguous undertones, "My reward?"
"You haven’t accomplished anything yet you’re asking for a reward?" Clarissa Morgan laughed, removing the hand on her waist, "Don’t get ash on ."
Nolan Hawke let her go, took the cigarette from his mouth, flicked ashes into a nearby trash bin, and sat on a plush padded chair by the round table, "Honestly, that girl, Audrey Sutton, she’s sowhat intriguing."
"Oh? Smitten?"
Nolan Hawke chuckled, "You know who I have in my heart, don’t you?"
Clarissa Morgan smiled, taking a glass of water to drink, "You have quite a few in that heart."
"I guess I mainly feel that other people’s wives seem more thrilling, you know she’s been married to the Third Young Master for nearly a year now yet she’s still as sensitive as an inexperienced young girl. The day of the photoshoot, I deliberately tugged at her clothes, and she shrunk up with goosebumps."
"That girl? Did you sleep with her?"
"No, she’s quite conservative, waiting to marry , really dull."
"Keep at it, with her around it’ll be much easier to get close to Audrey Sutton."
Nolan Hawke flicked the cigarette butt into the ashtray, took a deep breath, his gaze dreamy, lost in thought, "What do you think about directly going for Audrey Sutton?"
Clarissa Morgan laughed mockingly, "Do you think you can surpass Shane Warner?"
"Even the most delicious dish gets tireso if eaten daily. More so, soone like her is easily swayed by sweet talk and coaxing, not to ntion stealing soone else’s wife is quite exciting, don’t you think? Whether you can win her over is one thing, but sleeping with her is another. When passion ignites, I don’t believe she won’t spread her legs."
