Usually, when Audrey Sutton wasn’t around, Shane might have als with Julian Bishop, Faye Xavier, and others, but when she was there, he preferred to dine alone with Audrey. So when Julian Bishop left, Shane didn’t ask him to stay.
Watching Julian leave the office, Audrey pursed her lips and said, "...I feel like Mr. Bishop doesn’t particularly like ."
Shane paused his chopstick movent for a mont, glanced at her, and said, "You’re my wife. Does he dare like you?"
Audrey rolled her eyes at him and said, "Not that kind of liking. It’s more like he’s cold towards , like he has an opinion about . Brother Xavier and the others aren’t like that."
"That’s just his personality."
Audrey popped a atball into her mouth, not dwelling much on it.
"Do you have any plans for this weekend?" Shane asked.
Audrey paused montarily, thought about it, and replied, "I guess not?"
"Okay, clear your schedule, I’ll take you out."
When Audrey heard that, she smiled and curiously asked, "Where are we going?"
"You’ll find out when we get there."
Seeing his mysterious deanor, Audrey didn’t pursue the question further but secretly anticipated the weekend.
While eating, Audrey asked, "You haven’t told who that girl just now was."
Knowing Audrey’s tendency to overthink, Shane candidly replied, "My aunt’s daughter, she just returned from abroad."
"Oh."
"You still don’t believe ? Still think I’d find another woman outside?"
Audrey picked up another atball, smiled and said, "I believe you. I knew she was probably a relative of yours."
Seeing her expression, Shane chuckled. Once the truth was out, she wouldn’t admit the stories she made up in her mind.
He could imagine what she was whimsical about while hiding behind the wall.
If things weren’t clarified, she might not have burst out as she did after first encountering Phoebe King, running outside to cry, but she was sure to have so resentnt towards him.
However, now she’s much better. She would directly question him about things rather than keep things bottled up inside, tangling herself unnecessarily.
On Wednesday, Audrey’s new comic was released.
Since the website promoted it beforehand and the previous comic had accumulated many readers, the first day results were impressive, far beyond Audrey’s expectations.
Unlike the previous comic, which struggled to attract readers and barely received a comnt every few months.
So the new comic’s success made Audrey genuinely happy.
The comic depicts her and Shane’s story, with so adaptations, of course. The characters composed of lines and colors differ greatly from real people, but the expressions and emotions were spot on. Although the promotion didn’t label it as "Third Young Master Warner and Third Lady’s Marriage Autobiography," the comnts already had many ssages like "The male lead seems to resemble Third Young Master."
What pleasantly surprised Audrey was that the long silent affluent reader rewarded her again.
Just like previous tis, an emotionless reward machine that neither comnted on the comic’s content nor replied to Audrey’s thank you ssage.
The gifts rewarded were the most expensive on the site, worth millions of drawing coins, sent ten consecutively, blasting Audrey’s new comic to the top of the reward list.
This surge pushed Crystal Wilson, previously ranked tenth, off the list, bringing Audrey a bit of hidden joy.
Audrey always believed this affluent person was soone she knew. She suspected Simon Sue before but found out he was clueless about it.
She considered her brothers; although generous with money, they’d rather transfer money directly than reward her comic.
She even suspected Shane at one point, but given that the affluent reader appeared when their relationship was tense, he wouldn’t have done such a thing then.
Excluding these people, she couldn’t think of anyone else. Perhaps it truly was so wealthy individual who particularly liked her comics.
In any case, having support is always a good thing.
After rushing two days of drafts, the weekend quickly arrived.
The weather was perfect, not too cold or hot, with just the right amount of sunshine.
After breakfast, the two of them took General and left the house.
Pea, being cautious and fearful of unfamiliar environnts, was usually left at ho, where it preferred nesting on the sofa snoozing rather than going out.
The car gradually drove to the city’s edge, where the scenery changed from skyscrapers to vast fields.
Audrey looked out the window and said, "Our farm seems to be around here."
Driving the car, Shane glanced sideways at her and said, "Is this your family’s farm? You don’t know the location of your own family’s property?"
Audrey muttered, "It’s all managed by my dad and Third Brother. I’ve only co here two or three tis to play. I think it’s after that intersection ahead."
Shane: "We’ve already passed that intersection."
Audrey turned her head in confusion towards the back of the car, but the intersection Shane ntioned was already out of sight.
She turned back to look at Shane, smiled, and said, "You know more than I do, have you been here before?"
"Never been, saw it on a map."
"Actually, you can visit when you have ti. The farm is almost entirely planted with flowers and is very beautiful."
"Sure, give a tour of your family’s property when there’s ti."
Audrey chuckled, proudly saying, "That would take three days and nights to tour, just the flower farm here alone would take a day. There’s also a ranch up in Norvale, which is huge, and a vineyard, but that’s in the countryside, and many I’ve never been to myself."
"Never imagined my wife is a hidden rich girl."
Audrey eagerly climbed the ladder when she heard the cue: "That’s right~"
The car drove for about an hour; the pleasant scenery along the way prevented boredom.
They saw nurous signs pointing to a nearby golf course, which was their destination.
Suddenly reminded of when Nolan Hawke had a birthday, when Clarissa Morgan had ntioned that Shane was good at golf.
Originally, Audrey thought Shane just wanted to play, taking advantage of the free weekend to bring her here, not expecting to bump into Quentin Sterling and Clarissa Morgan.
After greeting them, Audrey learned it was an arrangent between Shane and Quentin.
Audrey generally wasn’t interested in sports activities; however, she was initially excited to learn golf being Shane’s destination.
But upon seeing Clarissa Morgan, she felt the atmosphere was spoiled, and her mood was negatively impacted.
