Now reading: Chapter 405: Foolish and Rich from Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!, a Romance novel by The Beginning of Prosperity.

Arriving at the cinema within the mall, Audrey Sutton felt tired and directly pulled Shane Warner inside.

Audrey hadn’t kept up with the latest movies lately, only heard Flora and the others ntion so that were quite good.

So she didn’t ask Shane’s opinion and directly decided on which one to watch.

"I’ll buy the tickets, you go find a spot to sit and wait for ," Audrey said and held out her hand to him.

Looking at her small hand stretched out in front of him, Shane paused for a mont, then smiled as he shifted everything in both his hands into one and dug out his phone from his pocket for her.

Audrey took the phone with a smile: "Unlock it."

Shane reached over and pressed the fingerprint sensor, teasing her: "Haven’t guessed the password yet after all this ti?"

Audrey walked to the ticket counter, holding the phone, while saying, "Too lazy to guess, if you don’t tell then forget it."

Saying this, she paid for the tickets, locked the phone’s screen, and tried to unlock the password.

She only rembered "919," his birthday, but had no clue what the last three digits were.

Could it be her birthday?

Yet when she initially asked him for the password, they hadn’t been married for long, and she hadn’t even confessed to him. There was no reason for him to use her birthday as a password.

But his tone always hinted a bit that she should know the password, so Audrey tried "919527."

The lock screen slid open instantly, and she was completely stunned.

What... what does this an? He liked her long ago? Did he start using her birthday as a password back then?

Or did he change this password later?

"Miss, your ticket please," the ticket seller smiled and handed the movie ticket to Audrey.

Audrey took the ticket, then turned around and ran towards Shane: "I cracked it!"

Shane smiled dotingly: "Run slowly."

Audrey sat down beside him, locked the phone again, and entered the password in front of him, proudly showing off: "Look."

Shane raised his hand to rub her head and gave a half-hearted complint: "My wife is amazing."

Audrey glared at him, feeling like he was treating her like General, pulling his hand down and asking, "When did you change the password?"

Shane: "Don’t rember."

Audrey: "You definitely changed it recently; your old password wasn’t this."

Shane just smiled and didn’t argue.

She scrolled through his phone, seeing both his desktop and lock screen using her photos, and was secretly delighted, though she said, "I bet you’re just jealous of my beauty, choosing the worst shots to put on your phone."

Shane leaned over to take a look and said softly, "Really? I think they’re quite nice."

Audrey pursed her lips and smiled, unable to hide her happiness.

Shane just looked down at her; though she was bickering with him, her little reactions showed she wasn’t mad at him anymore.

Seeing her smiling face, Shane felt like the sky above his head had cleared.

During those days in the hospital, every ti he saw her, her eyes were moist and red, and recalling it now still made his heart ache.

Those days, she lost her smile, didn’t dare cry loudly, just hid under the blanket quietly sad.

He never wanted to see her like that again; he just wanted her to always be as happy as she was now.

The movie they watched was a cody; she ate popcorn and drank cola, laughing out loud at the funny scenes.

Shane felt that just hearing her laughter made him feel so happy and content.

When the movie ended, Audrey said she wanted to go ho.

Outside, it was still sowhat hot past five, so Shane told her to wait at the mall entrance while he got the car to pick her up.

Audrey had initially told him to go with an umbrella, but he probably thought her little parasol was too girly and refused.

Getting into the car, Audrey played her favorite music, opened the windows to let the wind in, and said, "Tomorrow let’s take Six’s sports car out for a spin."

Shane: "You’ve just finished your confinent, take it easy. Didn’t Mom say if we don’t take care now, it could lead to headaches later?"

Audrey: "I’ve been cooped up for a month; it’s fine now."

Shane didn’t argue with her, just raised her wide-open car window halfway up.

Audrey turned her head in displeasure, but didn’t argue with him.

After a quiet mont, she asks, "How much does it cost you to stay there per day?"

Shane: "One thousand."

Audrey widened her eyes: "So expensive? Are you staying in a presidential suite? Or did the boss think you were dumb with money, deliberately cheating you? Did you bargain?"

Shane glanced at her without speaking, as if asking her: Do you think I’m the bargaining type?

Audrey pursed her lips and said: "Truly extravagant..."

Shane: "Is The Linton Family renting? Better for you to earn this money than soone else."

Audrey knew what he was hinting at, but she was actually bringing this up to suggest he stay at her place, just felt shy to say it directly.

When Shane asked like that, she followed up: "Alright, fifteen hundred a day, includes three als a day, no bargaining."

Shane nodded: "Okay."

Audrey glared at him: "You really are dumb with money!"

Shane smiled without saying anything, and Audrey pouted: "That Old Man Linton is too ruthless in business, usually, it’s just three to five hundred a day, actually asking you for a thousand. I’ll have to check with him about this when we get back!"

Shane jokingly said, "Yet you’re charging fifteen hundred."

Audrey: "Then you can continue staying at a thousand."

Shane: "I prefer staying at expensive places."

Audrey raised the price as she sat: "Two thousand a day."

Shane laughed: "Whatever you say. Anyway, I earn money to spend on you."

Audrey glared at him sideways: "I noticed you’ve been attending so kind of charm school this month? Your words are slick; are you secretly flirting with girls behind my back?"

Shane: "Even if my own red flag is about to fall, I don’t have ti to hang colorful flags elsewhere."

Audrey: "So you’re saying you want to hang them but have no ti?"

Shane: "I don’t want to, but so banners insist on fluttering themselves."

Audrey: "Did any woman contact you?"

Shane: "Would you believe if I say no?"

Audrey: "I don’t."

Shane: "So you should stick close to in the future. With you standing beside , it’ll save worry; those perfu and makeup scents really aren’t my thing."

Audrey pouted: "So you’re using as a shield?"

Shane curled his lips into a wicked smile, glanced at her sideways, and said softly, "ans I only like your scent."
