Audrey Sutton’s smile froze a little, and she actually agreed with Clarissa Morgan’s words.

Because she began to feel that Shane really didn’t love her, otherwise why wouldn’t he think of helping her peel the shrimp?

Quentin Sterling intervened, saying, "Everyone has their own way of loving soone. So are obvious, so are subtle, so you two shouldn’t argue. Try this crab, it tastes good too."

Fortunately, the king crab at had been cracked open and placed on the plate, otherwise, Audrey wouldn’t have been able to handle the hard shell with her bare hands.

She picked up a piece of crab at with her chopsticks, dipped it in the sauce, and put it in her mouth.

So satisfying.

She hadn’t enjoyed seafood like this in a long ti.

Unconsciously, she scratched her neck and continued peeling shrimp.

Clarissa Morgan put down her chopsticks after a couple of bites, wiped her mouth with a napkin, and asked, "Shane, aren’t you planning to have kids yet?"

Shane and Audrey both looked at her, but before they could answer, Clarissa said, "I see Audrey is eating so much seafood, uterine coldness isn’t conducive to pregnancy."

Audrey: "..."

She really wanted to retort, but couldn’t think of what to say for a mont.

Shane: "She’s actually allergic to seafood, so I usually don’t let her eat it. Since it’s rare for her to eat it, I’m letting her enjoy herself this ti. After she’s done, I have a diet plan to properly take care of her health."

Audrey was quite satisfied with Shane’s response, feeling a bit smug in her smile, scratched her chin, and picked up another piece of crab at to eat.

Quentin said, "Third Young Master, if you have a good dietary plan, teach too. I can use it to help Clarissa."

Clarissa Morgan said, "I have many health recipes too, but I’m usually busy and rarely have ti for a proper al."

"It’s okay, I’ll cook for you in the future."

Shane didn’t participate in their couple’s conversation. He turned his head and saw Audrey’s fair neck covered with nurous red marks, clearly from scratching.

He quickly knocked the crab at off her chopsticks: "Don’t eat anymore, go get dicine from your third brother."

After saying this, he got up himself, found Arthur Sutton, and went upstairs with him to get the dicine.

He asked for a glass of warm water, and when he returned, he saw Audrey scratching one place and then another.

She probably felt uncomfortable herself, so she obediently put down her chopsticks.

Shane stuffed a pill into her mouth and then handed her the water.

Quentin stood up and asked, "Is it serious? Should we call a doctor?"

Audrey swallowed the pill with so water and said, "No, it’ll be fine after taking dicine."

Shane looked at her tender white skin, scratched red, and thought that a few more scratches might draw blood.

Even though he knew she was allergic to seafood and that dication could control it, seeing her like this made his heart ache a little, regretting not stopping her sooner.

As he watched her reach to scratch her face again, Shane held her hand and chided, "If you scratch more, you’ll ruin your face."

Audrey drank a lot more water, then felt a bit relieved after taking a shower upon returning to the room.

Seeing Shane working at her desk using her computer, Audrey asked him, "Are you going to take a nap?"

Shane turned to look at her, and instead of answering, he asked, "Feeling better?"

"Yeah, I told you, I’m fine after taking the dicine."

"Look in the mirror and see what you’ve done to your neck by scratching."

Audrey turned in front of the mirror beside the wardrobe: "Hehe, I might have eaten a bit too much today."

Shane: "It’s okay, anyway you won’t be eating any next ti."

Audrey frowned, sat on the bed, and mumbled, "Actually, I’m still not full."

Shane turned back to his computer, fingers tapping the keyboard as he said, "If you want porridge, I can get it for you downstairs. If you want oily or spicy food, then you’ll have to stay hungry."

"I’ll tell my third brother you’re mistreating ."

He calmly replied, "Go, do it now."

Knowing she was at fault, Audrey sat on the bed, rubbing her stomach, before saying, "I think I saw milk tea downstairs..."

"Hot is okay."

Audrey imdiately frowned and protested, "Who drinks hot milk tea in this heat?"

"Cold is out of the question."

Audrey lowered her gaze, fell onto the bed, playing with a pillow as her legs dangled off the edge, and asked him, "Boss, what kind of porridge is there?"

Shane distractedly answered her, "Vegetable."

She lazily and muffledly asked again, "Can you add so minced at?"

Shane didn’t respond imdiately, finished typing the last line, and closed the laptop before saying, "I’ll go check."

Watching Shane walk to the door, Audrey sat up on the bed and called out to him, "Bring a small cake too!"

No sooner had she spoken than there was a knock on the door.

Since Shane was right by the door, he imdiately opened it.

Audrey craned her neck but couldn’t see who was outside, yet recognized the voice.

"President Warner, can we have a mont to discuss sothing?"

Shane said nothing, closed the door, and followed Lan Irving out.

Audrey frowned at the closed door, hurried to open it a crack, and observed secretly.

Lan handed his phone to Shane to look at, and as they walked and chatted, it was clear they were discussing work.

Watching them enter the elevator, Audrey closed the door, stood by it, and started overthinking again.

Then she told herself that she should trust Shane. Lan had been with him for years without causing any trouble, so she shouldn’t be too bothered by Lan’s presence.

She couldn’t deny Lan’s work capabilities, which indeed eased a lot of Shane’s workload.

So she should be more generous and not create drama with Shane over Lan. No matter how much Lan might stir things up, it would just be a one-person show.

Even though Audrey thought this way, seeing that over twenty minutes had passed and he hadn’t returned, she was tempted to change clothes and go downstairs to find him.

"Knock knock—"

Finally, there was a knock at the door.

Audrey darted over to open the door eagerly.

Shane looked down at her, asking, "Up to no good again?"

Audrey pointed at the computer, "I was drawing!"

Shane entered the room, closed the door, and placed the box of porridge on her computer desk.

Audrey sat back in her chair, stirring the steaming porridge with a spoon, and was delighted to see the minced at inside.

"What did your little secretary want?" she casually asked.

Shane took off his jacket, loosened his tie, and answered briefly, "Talking business."

Audrey blew on the spoonful of porridge, "What kind of business? It took so long."

Shane saw through her little sche, undid two buttons of his shirt, curled up one side of his lips, and said, "What are you thinking again?"
