Evan Sutton ca to his senses and hurriedly slamd on the brakes. Fortunately, the speed wasn’t fast to begin with, so the car quickly ca to a stable stop. But the girl who had been in front of the car suddenly disappeared from sight.
Realizing he might have hit soone, Evan quickly opened the car door and got out, only to see the girl sitting on the ground in front of his car.
The girl had a bob cut that ca down to her chin and was wearing a white puffer jacket, lying in a backward-fallen position in front of the car.
Looking at the girl who was still half a ter from the car’s front, Evan wasn’t sure if she was hit or just scared. He hurriedly went forward to ask, "Are you okay? Are you hurt?"
The girl frowned in pain, raised her hand to inspect her scratched palm, then looked at her now dirty white outerwear from the fall. Her temper flared imdiately, and without even glancing at Norman Sutton, she cursed, "Are you blind?! How do you drive? This is my new Chanel puffer coat! It’s my first ti wearing it! Pay up! Now!"
Evan thought, judging by her strong voice while cursing, she probably just took a tumble and wasn’t seriously hurt.
He hadn’t expected this cute-looking girl to speak so rudely and unreasonably.
Evan reached out to help her up. His mood was slightly affected by the issue with Catherine Porter, so his tone was a bit cold, with a hint of unusual impatience as he asked, "How much?"
Once standing, the girl, who was under 1.6 ters tall, looked like she wasn’t very old, probably a high schooler of around fifteen or sixteen.
With a displeased expression, she patted down her clothes, and as she opened her mouth to na a price, she suddenly saw Evan Sutton’s face and froze.
Handso... really handso... A guy this handso is worth being hit by!
Evan assud her silence ant she was thinking about how much she could scam out of him, so he asked more impatiently, "Is fifty thousand enough?"
The girl snapped back to reality. Hearing the figure of fifty thousand, she swallowed. It was clearly more than she had intended to ask for.
It made her think, seeing this handso guy being so generous, he’s definitely rich...
An exceptional hunk having such a miraculous encounter with her on the street must be a special fate~ Wouldn’t it be a waste to let him go easily?
While the girl was lost in her daydreams, a group of young people, both guys and girls, erged from a small music bar on the roadside. The lead girl, wearing only thin leather clothing in winter, had platinum-dyed hair and a row of piercings on her ears. All her earrings, necklaces, and bracelets were expensive luxury items.
The girl in leather and her group walked straight over, looking at the girl with disdain, saying, "Yo? How did Miss Sue’s new Chanel end up like this?"
The blue-contact-lens girl beside the leather-clad girl quipped sarcastically, "She’s Miss Sue; she doesn’t lack money. Her clothes are probably disposable!"
Another girl with a lollipop laughed, "This cheap knockoff, a couple of hundred a piece, probably is only good for one-ti use, hahaha."
The girl frowned upon hearing this and retorted, "My family has plenty of money; I don’t need to buy fakes! As long as I want sothing, my dad will buy it for !"
The leather-clad girl sneered and told her friends, "Look at this; Miss Sue’s illegitimate daughter thinks she’s entering a wealthy family. You’re just Grace Sue’s lapdog. Gracie is the real legitimate daughter of the Sue Family. You bastard, even talking to you disgusts !"
Clearly, the girl wasn’t one to sit back, so without saying another word, she grabbed the platinum-dyed hair, "What did you say?! You’re the bastard! Your whole family is bastards!"
The leather-clad girl imdiately grabbed her hair, and in the scuffle, the platinum wig got pulled off, leaving everyone stunned for a mont.
The leather girl’s real hair now showed under the wig, looking a bit comical. Filled with rage, she yelled at the girl holding the wig in anger, "Hannah Sue, you bitch! Hit her! I’ll take the bla if anything happens!"
Hannah gulped, seeing they were outnumbered, plus the guys with them were physically imposing. When it’s ti to be cowardly, she had to be. Hannah tossed the wig into the snow and was about to run.
But just as she rembered she was on the street, she heard the screech of a horn. When she was thinking she was about to be hit by a car a second ti, a force suddenly pulled her arm back hard.
There was a faint aroma of dicine in the air, not unpleasant but rather refreshing and different from the cloying sweetness of perfu.
Of course, she didn’t have ti to enjoy the sll as a few guys started approaching her.
Evan wasn’t sure why he was watching this kids’ quarrel; he couldn’t tell who was right or wrong.
After all, the girl who was now shrinking into him for protection had just tried to scam him a few minutes ago.
He didn’t know if the girl’s character was good or bad, but he couldn’t just stand by and watch sothing that looked like school bullying happen.
Evan pulled Hannah behind him and told the guys, "It’s getting late. You all look young; head ho early."
The leather-clad girl picked up the wig from the ground at so point, putting it back on, albeit a bit crooked, making it look ssy but not diminishing her arrogance. "And who are you, mister? What, did you take this little vixen under your wing? Do you know how dirty she is and yet still dare be with her?"
Evan was about to say he wasn’t familiar with the girl when, from behind him, she popped out her head as if things weren’t chaotic enough, clinging to his shirt hem and whining sweetly, "Darling, they’re bullying ~ boo hoo~~"
Evan frowned, too lazy to explain anything, as he watched the young group cracking their knuckles and closing in on him.
The leather-girl smirked, "You want to play the hero saving the beauty, huh? Fine, have at it. Get him!"
Hannah quickly shrank back behind Evan, who remained calm. While fiddling on his phone, he said, "The station is just a kiloter away. Which will be faster, their response ti or your escape?"
Saying this, he showed the dial screen with "110" entered on it to the group.
The boys hesitated and turned to look at the leather-clad girl, clearly apprehensive about the prospect of police involvent.
In the tense mont, Evan suddenly pulled Hannah to the front and pushed her toward the group. Hannah was bewildered when she heard Evan say, "How about you all go ahead and fight, while I stand by and record it, call the police, and hand over the evidence to your schools? I wonder if your student status can be retained."
