Stephen Sutton stared at Phoebe King with a stern face. Inside the phone, a fierce battle was ongoing, and voices were excitedly overlapping: "Brother Phoebe! Run! Why are you just standing there?!"

"It’s hopeless, it’s hopeless. Sell it, sell it. There are several waves of them, let’s retreat first."

"See? I said trying to save is pointless, you could’ve reloaded the gun and looted a package instead."

Phoebe King hurriedly picked up her phone, glanced at it, then looked at Stephen Sutton, hesitating for a mont about which seed more important at the ti, making it hard for her to decide.

But the mont she felt Stephen Sutton’s cold gaze bore into the back of her head, Phoebe King felt like her skull had two holes burned through it.

Seeing that her ga screen had gone dark, Phoebe King dejectedly put down her phone, imdiately turned around and looked at Stephen Sutton, smiling ingratiatingly: "Welco ho, Teacher Sutton, you must be tired!"

Stephen Sutton snorted coldly and replied with frustration: "Looks like you’re the one who’s tired."

Phoebe King lifted the blanket, looked down to see only one slipper by the edge of the sofa, and tilted her head to search for the other but couldn’t find it.

Stephen Sutton sighed helplessly, stretched out his foot, and kicked the slipper he had already noticed over to her.

"Teacher Sutton, please sit. What would you like to drink? I’ll get it for you."

Stephen Sutton sat down on the side of the sofa, watching as Phoebe King eagerly grabbed a water cup and filled it with warm water from the thermos, handing it to him with both hands: "Please enjoy!"

Stephen Sutton reached out and took the cup, but didn’t drink it. He simply placed it on the edge of the coffee table, glancing at the rolling adventurers under the sofa, then at Phoebe King’s phone, adopting the tone of a teacher holding a student accountable, saying: "Didn’t you say you’d be at ho knitting a scarf?"

Phoebe King nodded obediently, quickly reached out to pick up the ball of yarn on the floor: "I was knitting..."

"Knitting while swearing when you get upset?"

Phoebe King: "..."

Stephen Sutton: "Caught in the act and still lying?"

Phoebe King imdiately plopped down next to Stephen Sutton, pulling his wrist and apologizing: "Teacher Sutton, I know I was wrong. I will never swear again! I was just so bored, and no one was playing with , so I played gas."

Stephen Sutton asked further: "Who were you playing with?"

Phoebe King glanced at him guiltily, carefully choosing her words to answer: "...just so friends I often played with before."

Stephen Sutton seized the key words: "Often played with?"

Phoebe King’s mind also turned quickly, answering on the fly: "I knew them before I t you! After eting you, I haven’t played gas! I can only think about you, no mood for gas!"

Stephen Sutton didn’t buy it, twisting her words: "So, it ans you don’t like as much now, so you think gaming is more interesting?"

"Teacher Sutton! How can you doubt my true love for you?!"

Stephen Sutton gave her a sidelong glance, finally picking up the water Phoebe had poured for him, bringing it to his lips for a sip.

Just as Phoebe King breathed a sigh of relief, thinking she had dodged a bullet, Stephen Sutton tossed another little grenade her way: "So who were those two guys?"

"Huh?" Phoebe King was montarily stunned, then realized Stephen Sutton was asking about "those two guys," and quickly explained: "One is Luc, the twin I ntioned before, the one who is our brother-in-law’s good friend. And the other one is Bunny’s partner, the girl there is Bunny."

Upon hearing her explanation, Stephen Sutton barely audibly snorted, as if saying: I’ll let it go this ti.

"Where’s Audrey?"

Phoebe King pointed upstairs: "She’s painting."

After saying that, Phoebe King realized sothing else and mischievously asked Stephen Sutton: "Teacher Sutton, are you jealous?"

Stephen Sutton glanced at Phoebe King with a straight face, neither admitting nor denying.

Phoebe King straddled his lap, hooking her hands around his neck: "You’re jealous but won’t admit it! Teacher Sutton, you’re naughty!"

Stephen Sutton frowned, pulling her hands away gently and softly scolded: "Sit properly!"

Phoebe King hooked her hands back onto his neck, saying: "There’s no one else here. Why are you being shy?"

Stephen Sutton: "This is the living room. How indecent it is if soone sees us?"

Phoebe King: "What indecency? We’re a married couple! It’s not like we’re having a secret affair."

Stephen Sutton placed his hand on her waist, gently guiding her away, his tone stern yet slightly coaxing: "Get down."

Phoebe King, feeling triumphant, leaned her face closer: "Kiss and I’ll get down."

"Do you want a spanking?"

Phoebe King laughed provocatively: "Do you dare?"

Stephen Sutton frowned, giving her a not-too-hard pat on the bottom: "Get down!"

"Kiss !"

Scott Sutton, with his ssed-up sleep schedule, had just woken up to this dog-food scene downstairs. He walked down slowly, teasing while he went: "Didn’t see anything, I saw nothing at all. Just pretend I don’t exist, I’m just here for breakfast."

Stephen Sutton, naturally thin-skinned, felt embarrassed being caught by his own brother, imdiately giving Phoebe King a glare.

Phoebe King, only daring to be shaless in front of Stephen Sutton, felt embarrassed by Scott’s teasing, imdiately slipping from Stephen’s embrace, and with a blushing face, pretending nothing happened. She sat back down in her previous spot and awkwardly picked up the knitting needles by her side, fumbling to knit again.

Scott Sutton casually tied his long hair with a black elastic band from his hand, walked into the kitchen, took out breakfast left for him that morning from the fridge, placing it in the microwave, and said: "Big bro, just a second, I’ll pour myself a glass of water and be on my way."

Stephen Sutton glared at him, then changed the subject, asking: "A colleague wants to ask you about marital property distribution matters. I’ve shared your contact with him."

Scott Sutton nodded and said: "I just woke up, haven’t checked my phone, will reply in a bit."

Phoebe King couldn’t help but ask: "Scott, with your legal expertise, why not beco a lawyer?"

Scott Sutton paused his water-pouring action, then joked with a smile: "The boss is tough, working for others isn’t as free as being your own boss."

Phoebe King thought for a mont, realizing Scott does have a laid-back personality: "True, owning a tavern seems better, seeing how relaxed you are daily, I’m a bit envious."

Scott Sutton, ever the troublemaker, chuckled: "Why so, sis-in-law? Are you saying my brother isn’t making you comfortable?"

Phoebe King, taken aback, didn’t expect Scott to set her up like this, and catching Stephen’s icy sideways glance, quickly said: "No one can be too comfortable, one should have so boundaries. I love my life right now; it’s just right. Teacher Sutton is very understanding."

Saying this, Phoebe King realized it was ti to make her exit. She quickly tossed aside the knitting needles and headed upstairs: "I’ll go check on what Audrey’s up to!"
