Now reading: Chapter 65: Julian Bishop from Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!, a Romance novel by The Beginning of Prosperity.

"Mr. Bishop is coming back to the country?" Faye Xavier seed very excited and then asked, "So Master Shane, what are you planning to do? Just focus on spending ti with your little wife?"

Shane Warner gave him a glare before saying, "The old man has fully handed over the matters there. I need to return to The Warner and continue my own business. I’m also reassured leaving things here to you and Old Man Bishop."

"Rest assured a hundred tis, you just focus on handling The Warner’s affairs calmly. You’ve got to reclaim everything that belongs to the eldest brother."

Lan Irving remained silent the whole ti. Shane Warner simply glanced at her, deciding not to pursue what happened on the boat further since he had already warned her.

Lan Irving was sensible enough that he need not say more.

For the handover of work, Shane Warner spent the whole day at the company handling the transition.

Towards evening, the sky turned gloomy again, with dull thunder rumbling.

Audrey Sutton stood on the balcony looking outside, calling Shane Warner: "Will you co ho for dinner tonight?"

"Tonight’s a bit busy; I might co ho late, so eat without ; don’t wait."

"Then I’ll bring it over to you."

As soon as she finished speaking, she heard a girl’s voice on the other end of the line remind him: "President Warner, it’s ti for the eting."

Shane Warner nodded and replied to Audrey Sutton: "It’s about to rain; stay ho and don’t run around. I’m going to a eting now."

Hearing how busy he was, Audrey Sutton stopped speaking, hung up the phone, and imdiately opened the fridge.

Still decided to bring him food. He’s so busy there’s surely no ti to eat. Even though he said not to bring it, if he sees the hot al she brought after the eting, he’d definitely be touched, and his affection for her would rise instantly.

Thinking of this, Audrey Sutton felt delighted inside, and her mood beca cheerful while cooking.

"Swoosh——"

The heavy rain poured down, and Audrey Sutton carefully placed the cooked dish into the lunchbox.

After packing the lunchbox, she ran to the balcony to check the rain.

Luckily, the rain was heavy but not windy, not too much affecting travel.

She grabbed the cloth bag containing the lunchbox, took an umbrella, and went out.

Opening the umbrella, the rain pattered noisily against it, leaving only this noisy sound around.

She reached the roadside and hailed a cab: "Please, to Starfield Group."

The driver started the vehicle, remarking, "The rain just started without notice."

Audrey Sutton also smiled and chatted, "Indeed, it was sunny just a couple of days ago."

After chatting with the driver for a short while, they arrived at Starfield. Audrey Sutton was rummaging for change as she said, "Let down by the roadside; I’ll cross the street myself, or you’ll have to turn around."

"Okay, just walk a bit further. Eleven yuan, round it off to ten if you don’t have change."

Getting off, Audrey Sutton checked for cars and then crossed the street under the umbrella.

In the rain curtain, from the right fork on the opposite side of the road, a black sedan drove up. The rain was so loud that Audrey Sutton didn’t notice the approaching car.

Inside the black sedan, the driver turned to look at the man in the back seat, saying, "Mr. Bishop, we’re almost there."

Julian Bishop lifted his gaze from the iPad in his hands and narrowed his deep brown eyes sharply, "Watch out!"

The driver then looked forward and saw soone appear right near the car, hurriedly braking.

Even so, the car continued a short distance before stopping completely.

Upon reopening his eyes, the girl with the light pink umbrella in front of the car was nowhere to be seen.

Julian Bishop hurriedly got out to check, not bothering with an umbrella, looking down at the girl wincing in pain as she sat in the rainwater.

The pink umbrella rolled aside, rain pelting down on Audrey Sutton, wetting her clothes within seconds.

She couldn’t care about herself, clutching the cloth bag with the packed lunch tight to her chest.

"Are you okay?"

Julian Bishop reached out to help her.

The driver quickly exited the car, holding an umbrella for the two, looking worriedly at the girl sitting in the rain.

Audrey Sutton rubbed her own butt, grimacing and waving her hand, "I’m fine, didn’t get hit."

Helping Audrey Sutton up, Julian Bishop saw her hand scraped and bleeding slightly. He spoke coldly: "Let’s get you to the hospital for a check-up."

Audrey Sutton clutched the still warm lunchbox, hurriedly waving her hand, "I’m fine, don’t need to go to the hospital; just drive more carefully next ti."

She was still eager to deliver dinner to her husband, already at the doorstep. If they went to the hospital, by the ti she returned, the food would be cold.

Julian Bishop pulled her hand, took a handkerchief from his suit pocket, wrapped it around her hand, and gently tied a knot.

Audrey Sutton was montarily stunned at the familiar scene, reminiscent of when she was thirteen and Shane Warner bandaged her injury with a handkerchief at a banquet.

Before she could snap out of her mory, a black business card was handed to her, accompanied by the man’s cold voice, "If anything cos up later, contact ."

Audrey Sutton numbly took the card, Julian Bishop picked up her fallen umbrella, and handed it back to her.

Before she could say "thank you," Audrey Sutton saw the man turn and head back to the car.

The driver smiled apologetically at her and then got back in the car, driving away along the roadside.

Audrey Sutton looked down at the light gray handkerchief on her right hand, not sparing ti for further thought, hurriedly holding onto the box and heading towards the company entrance.

Standing at the company’s arched porch, Audrey Sutton closed the umbrella, looked at her ssy appearance, worried about dirtying the company’s pristine floors upon entry.

Hesitating at the porch, the company’s receptionist recognized her, hurriedly approached with concern: "Madam? Did sothing happen? Do you need help?"

"You’re here just in ti," Audrey Sutton said, handing the cloth bag to the receptionist girl, "Please help deliver this to your President Warner’s office."

The girl took the bag but couldn’t help looking worriedly at Audrey Sutton, "Are you okay like this? How about coming in, and I’ll find you clean clothes to change into."

"Do you have any?"

"We do, although it’s our work uniform. If you don’t mind, I can fetch it for you now."

Audrey Sutton hurriedly nodded, "Yes, yes, that would be great, thank you."

"No trouble, madam, please co in, and don’t catch a cold."

In the bathroom stall, Audrey Sutton examined the clothes in her hand.

It was her first ti wearing such formal attire.

The cool air persisted despite changing into clean clothes, possibly due to lacking a hot shower.

Finding the handkerchief on her hand too noticeable, Audrey Sutton removed it, briefly rinsing her scrape. It was only a minor abrasion, slightly painful.

Quickly drying her hair with a towel, she rushed upstairs with the packed al.

Unexpectedly, she bumped into Lan Irving outside the elevator.
