Seraphina Vaughn and Faye Xavier both widened their eyes in surprise at Shane Warner’s gesture, even Flora Lane, standing by as a judge, couldn’t help but chuckle.

Seraphina gestured, "Isn’t this a bit excessive?"

But Shane continued making the gesture for the number "5," determined to claim this wife as his own.

Faye didn’t pry Shane’s taphorical knife away, just mouthed two words at him: "Ruthless guy!"

Flora: "Werewolves, please close your eyes."

After the seer opened their eyes, it was Audrey Sutton’s turn with the witch card to open her eyes. Flora said, "She is the one who died tonight. Do you want to use the antidote? You have one bottle of poison, do you want to use it? Use gestures for the antidote, numbers for poison."

Audrey was stunned by Flora’s gesture of the number "5" - she finally got the witch card, only to be targeted first.

The witch’s antidote cannot be used for self-rescue, so she had no choice but to blind poison soone.

She glanced around, unable to discern who was good or bad, and after so deliberation, she gestured the number "six" to Flora.

Audrey felt awkward about blind poisoning anyone and decided to poison Shane Warner.

After the first day’s speeches ended and the announcent of the dual deaths of numbers five and six was made, everyone at the table laughed, with Seraphina and Faye being the most amused.

After Audrey and Shane left the table together, she urgently asked him, "What’s your role? Good guy or werewolf?"

Shane calmly replied, "Hunter."

This revelation left Audrey’s jaw dropping: "What?! Doesn’t that an we good guys are dood?"

The two gods were already out, and the blind poison had hit a hunter who could shoot in the next round. Audrey felt she had to take the bla for this round and watched the ga from the sidelines, feeling deflated.

But Shane remained calm and composed, without any guilt or apology for being the first to target Audrey.

Until Bear claid the hunter role in the ga, Audrey suspiciously questioned Shane again, "What is your role exactly? I don’t see Bear as a liar."

Shane simply smiled without saying a word.

Audrey found his smile unsettling: "You’re the wolf, aren’t you?! Who targeted ? As a newbie player, you couldn’t possibly tell I was the witch. With Norman Sutton being the seer this round, it must have been Seraphina! She’s great at identifying roles!"

Shane remained silent.

Flora: "Ga over, the good guys win!"

Audrey imdiately went over to ask, "Who were the wolves? Seraphina and who else?"

Seraphina pointed to the boy beside her and Faye, saying, "And your husband."

Audrey was so mad she jumped: "He even lied to , saying he was the hunter! I thought we were bound to lose!"

Faye, enjoying the drama, eagerly stirred the pot: "Sister-in-law, do you know who targeted you?"

Audrey guessed accusingly at Seraphina: "It must have been Seraphina! She must have figured my role out!"

Seraphina urgently stood up: "Nonsense, it was your husband who targeted you, I didn’t want to do it, but he insisted!"

Faye: "Who would’ve thought you retaliated with poison on him, haha, you two are truly a pair!"

Norman: "To be honest, I couldn’t even tell who the wolves were at the end. I just rembered how excited they both looked when you were out. I figured they knew where the knife would land that night."

Audrey turned to Shane, looking aggrieved, then curiously asked him, "How did you figure out I was the witch?"

Shane, still infuriating, answered, "Didn’t figure it out, just simply wanted to target you."

Audrey: "So love disappears, right?"

Shane chuckled, raising his hand to gently tousle Audrey’s hair, as if he just enjoyed seeing her get all puffed up because of him.

Flora: "Hurry up and start the next round, everyone, take your seats."

Audrey: "I’ll sit out this round. Mor, you take over, I’m going down to check on Vanessa."

Vanessa had ntioned her hand hurt, and Audrey rembered her older brother had so herbs that might help, so she asked him to apply them to Vanessa.

As Audrey went downstairs, she found the two of them in the side hall.

Evan Sutton was gently wrapping Vanessa’s arm with a bandage soaked in herbal paste.

"Keep it on for twenty minutes, then call ."

Vanessa nodded, politely saying, "Thank you."

Evan stood up and quickly tidied up the nearby dical kit, and Audrey said, "Brother, you can go about your business, I’ll be here. When the ti’s up, I’ll co find you."

"Okay, rember to relax your hand, don’t exert force."

After Evan left, Audrey went to the dining room and brought back two plates of snacks, sitting down beside Vanessa.

Although Jasmine Lucas wasn’t there today, Audrey still rembered the main reason Jasmine had called Vanessa.

"Vanessa, didn’t a girl co to you a few days ago? Asking about... you and your brother."

Vanessa paused, then nodded, "Yeah, Audrey, how did you know?"

Audrey: "She’s a friend of mine, she found out about your situation from and wanted to help you."

Vanessa pursed her lips a bit, looking a little embarrassed: "...I thought she was a journalist looking for a story, so I wasn’t very polite at the ti."

Audrey: "I didn’t expect her to reach out to you suddenly either. It’s my fault for not telling you in advance. She doesn’t an any harm; she’s part of an organization, like a charity, that helps girls in vulnerable situations."

Vanessa: "She did ntion sothing about writing an article to expose what happened to , and that they’d get dia coverage to draw social attention to my situation. They told to collect evidence, and they’d find a lawyer to help file a lawsuit."

Audrey nodded: "Yeah, their organization indeed has that capability, but you also know The Sterling have so influence, so even if you win the case, it might not result in a sentence for Miles Sterling. So now you’re faced with a choice: after the lawsuit, you might have to stay in their organization, live within it, and they’ll protect you, ensuring you don’t end up back in Miles Sterling’s hands. However, as long as Miles Sterling refuses to relent, you might still be unable to move freely, constantly watching out for him."

Vanessa didn’t hesitate much, pursing her lips, saying, "If it’s really possible, I’m willing to stay in their organization. My main fear is... implicating them."

As long as she wasn’t near Miles Sterling, it would be a kind of freedom for her.

Audrey: "Don’t worry about that. The organization’s connections are vast. No matter what, The Sterling wouldn’t dare openly snatch people. If you cooperate with them, Miles Sterling can’t do anything to you. Moreover, people’s obsessions don’t last forever. Maybe in two or three years, Miles Sterling will gradually forget this matter and let go, and by then, you might truly live a free life."

These words deeply moved Vanessa. Having been at a dead end with no way to save herself, if soone was genuinely willing to help her, she wouldn’t give up such an opportunity.

"...I’m willing to give it a try."

Audrey smiled in relief: "The girl who spoke to you last ti, Jasmine Lucas, is currently out of town and will be back the day after tomorrow. She will discuss in detail with you what to do. Vanessa, I really hope this can help you."

Vanessa smiled gently, extending her uninjured hand to gently clasp onto Audrey’s hand, sincerely saying, "Thank you, Audrey, thank you for caring about my situation."
