At noon, Lance took Lana Holloway to a nearby restaurant for lunch, but it wasn’t just the two of them dining alone; there were many colleagues and seniors gathered together.
Norman Sutton just watched their group enter the restaurant, but did not follow them inside.
Because he was in no mood to eat at all, he felt uneasy about Lance’s proposal issue remaining unresolved.
Feeling restless, he didn’t know what he should do.
In the afternoon when Norman returned to the exhibition hall, he only saw Lance alone, and Lana Holloway was nowhere in sight.
Lance, after bidding farewell to the two seniors at the staircase entrance, started walking alone towards the third floor.

Unexpectedly, Lance was standing by the door, and their eyes t with Norman’s sneaky gaze.
Lance smiled and said, "Young Master Sutton, if you want to take a look, just co in directly. Why act like a thief?"
Norman stood straight with slight embarrassnt, coughed lightly, and walked with his hands behind his back into the ballroom, inspecting as if leading an inspection, then disdainfully asked Lance, "You plan to propose to her here?"
Lance nodded, "Does Young Master Sutton have any opinions? What do you think of the setup here? Is there anything that needs adjusting? Or perhaps... you’ve changed your mind and realized your true feelings, and don’t want to propose to Lana?"
Norman snorted lightly but didn’t respond with more denial like before.
Lance continued, "Lana doesn’t know about this yet; Young Master Sutton, you still have ti to change your mind. After all, I don’t want to be seen as soone who plays the villain gaining advantage later in your mind."
Norman pondered in silence for a while, then asked Lance, "If I tell you not to propose, would you listen?"
Lance smiled slightly and explained, "First, Young Master Sutton must clarify that you like Lana; if not, whether I propose to her or not is unrelated to you. After all, I am here entrusted by soone. If Young Master Sutton admires Lana, I naturally shouldn’t interfere, but if he has no feelings for her, I wouldn’t want to miss a girl like Lana."
Upon hearing Lance’s answer, Norman angrily replied, "Whether I like her or not, what’s it to you? Get back to wherever you ca from!"
Despite Norman’s rude words, Lance maintained a gentlemanly smile, seemingly with a trace of... fondness, saying, "How old is Young Master Sutton? Why are you still acting like a little kid so awkwardly? If you don’t know how to like a girl, I can teach you, you could..."
Lance was interrupted by his phone ringing in his pocket: "Lana is calling."
Norman thought Lance was showing off and mocked with a snort.
Seeing Lance slightly turned to answer the phone, he affectionately greeted, "Lana, have you arrived?"
While Norman strained to listen, he couldn’t hear what Lana Holloway said on the other end. Lance continued, "Just co straight to the third floor when you arrive; so seniors want to et you."
"Alright, contact when you arrive."
After finishing, Lance hung up the phone, turned to Norman and said, "Lana will be here soon, and my plan is about to begin."
Norman frowned at Lance, not having thought of a solution, clearly a bit anxious, and told Lance, "You must not propose to her!"
Lance raised his eyebrows, smiled, and asked, "Why? You don’t like her, right? If you don’t like Lana, and you don’t want others to pursue her, what’s the reasoning here? Can Young Master Sutton really do as he pleases?"
Norman was so angry his breathing was slightly rapid, and he shouted at Lance, "Who said I don’t like her?! I have my own way of liking her; why are you interfering?!"
Lance’s smile deepened when a middle-aged man walked into the doorway, one of the n Norman saw with Lance in the morning.
The man carried a bouquet and a refined wine-red velvet small box and entered the ballroom.
Seemingly surprised by the presence of others, the man scrutinized Norman twice with questioning eyes before going to Lance, saying, "Mr. Quincy, the items you’ve asked for are ready."
Lance reached out to take the bouquet and the box, lightly laughed and nodded, saying, "Thanks for your hard work, thank you."
The man continued, "Is there anything else you need help with?"
Lance smiled and replied, "Not for now, please go back to your business."
After the two watched the man leave the ballroom, Norman discontentedly frowned at Lance holding the flowers.
Lance lowered his head to look at the items in his hand, feigning regret, sighed, and said, "Ah, put so much thought into this, seems like I’m making these for soone else."
Listening to Lance’s inexplicable words, Norman grew even more confused and furrowed his brow.
Lance asked, "Is Young Master Sutton satisfied with these? The venue, the ring, and Lana’s favorite flowers. Or should Young Master Sutton just propose to Lana with these?"
Norman was stunned, still eyeing Lance with hostility, completely not expecting Lance’s generosity: "What are you playing at?"
Lance chuckled slightly, handing the flowers and box with the ring to Norman, saying, "Lana should be arriving soon, I’ll help you stall a bit so you can organize your thoughts. This is as much as I can help, whether you succeed is up to you."
Norman was still dazed, and Lance had already turned and walked out of the ballroom.
This man, what kind of trickery is he playing? Is he really this kind? Was he misjudging him before?
Norman looked at the bouquet of violets in his hand, then opened the box with the ring to take a look, contemplating if Lana Holloway likes this style?

Judging by the content, it’s likely Lance sent this with another number.
But Norman’s mind was still buzzing, completely puzzled by how things progressed to this situation.
Even when playing international matches, he wasn’t as pressured and tense as now.
Swallowing with so difficulty, he walked to a full-length mirror in the corner, put down the items, adjusted his hair after removing his mask and hat.
