Audrey Sutton said confidently, "No way, we started packing yesterday. Everything is basically packed in the suitcases. We can leave anyti after breakfast once everyone is here."
Hazel Yates wrapped the pastries in paper and said, "We should wake them up for breakfast, it’s getting late."
Audrey Sutton: "Okay, okay, I’ll go call them."
While a few people were still upstairs getting ready, Scott Sutton ca back first. As soon as his car stopped in the yard, Faye Xavier and Morgan Quinn arrived.
The reason these two arrived early was because Shane Warner was struggling to handle three kids on his own, so he called them to help.
Next ca Lucian Quinn, carrying Flora Lane and Bear. As a result, the itinerary turned into a few n downstairs watching the kids, and a group of won upstairs doing who knows what, not coming down for a long ti.
Not until the servants laid out breakfast on the table did Hazel Yates urge them downstairs, and a few of them finally ca down.
After finishing breakfast, Audrey Sutton was spooning porridge into Anna’s mouth and asked Flora Lane, "Why isn’t Brother Seraphina here yet?"
Flora Lane: "I just called; he said he’s on the way and should be here soon."
"By the way." Audrey Sutton looked at Shane Warner holding Anna, "Where’s Mr. Bishop? Did you call him?"
Shane Warner answered casually, "He’s almost here."
Just as he was speaking, the sound of a car ca from outside the house. Julian Bishop’s car had just parked in the courtyard, and Seraphina Vaughn’s car followed right in.
Not long after, Norman Sutton succeeded in fetching Lana Holloway.
There was still so distance between the two; it was unclear if they communicated in the car, but once she got out, Lana Holloway smiled and joked with those around her, seemingly in a good mood, though she made no eye contact with Norman Sutton, let alone interacting with him.
But it was fortunate enough that Norman Sutton managed to bring her, probably for Hazel Yates’s sake. Otherwise, with Norman Sutton’s attitude, Lana Holloway wouldn’t have co.
The planned departure at ten o’clock delayed until almost eleven when the group finally set out.
They rented a total of ten vehicles, including RVs for entertainnt and rest during the journey, a dedicated dining car, and a small truck for camping gear.
Hazel Yates was most concerned about the pregnant Phoebe King, so she arranged for two servants to accompany them for care along the way, and the team of chefs in the dining car was personally arranged by Hazel Yates, afraid that this group of young people wouldn’t eat properly when traveling.
The itinerary was arranged by Seraphina Vaughn, heading first to cities south of Rivia then looping west, finally returning to Rivia.
No activities were planned for today; it’s mainly travel, with an estimation to reach the first campsite early tomorrow morning.
Everyone stayed in the entertainnt compartnts, so played Mahjong, so played card gas, and others enjoyed video gas or watched movies.
Audrey Sutton could play anything, while Shane Warner belonged to those who didn’t enjoy gas.
Audrey Sutton noticed that even Vanessa, typically introverted, was chatting and laughing watching a movie with Laura Yates and Lana Holloway, while Shane Warner simply held Anna sitting on the window-side sofa, playing with his phone.
He was the kind who would only take out his phone when bored; if it wasn’t extrely dull, he certainly wouldn’t be touching his phone.
When everyone is out playing, Audrey Sutton naturally couldn’t just focus on her own enjoynt.
She called Scott Sutton, who was studying puzzles nearby, "Fourth brother, co help play a few rounds."
Scott Sutton put down the puzzle pieces and asked her, "What’s wrong? Bad luck?"
Audrey Sutton: "I’m going to the restroom."
Scott Sutton sat down and said, "If I lose, it’s on you; if I win, it’s on ."
Audrey Sutton snorted: "Provided you’re ruthless enough."
Leaving the Mahjong table behind, Audrey Sutton headed straight for Shane Warner, squeezed onto the single-seater sofa and leaned over to glance at his phone, asking him, "What are you looking at?"
Shane Warner openly let her see, shifted slightly, and gently asked, "Why aren’t you playing?"
Audrey Sutton leaned against him, tugging at Anna’s sowhat crooked hat, "Why don’t you join in to play?"
Shane Warner put away his phone, wrapped an arm around Audrey Sutton, "Isn’t there enough people playing with you?"
Audrey Sutton: "I’m asking why you’re not playing, just sitting here alone; I thought you were upset or sothing."
Shane Warner chuckled, explaining, "I was looking at a docunt Julian Bishop just sent ."
Audrey Sutton: "I knew it; that’s why you’re sitting here alone. By the way, where’s Mr. Bishop?"
Shane Warner: "In the computer room next door."
Audrey Sutton sighed, "Mr. Bishop is basically working from a different place. I’m curious how much salary you pay him a month."
Shane Warner: "Just enough so he isn’t mistreated."
Audrey Sutton: "I’ll take Anna over to play, you focus on work."
Shane Warner: "Not playing cards?"
Audrey Sutton: "I’m resting for a bit, my fourth brother is covering for . I’ll go to the next room and watch a movie for a while. When you’re done, pull Mr. Bishop to join us. Since we rarely get out, let’s have him relax a little."
Upon saying that, Audrey Sutton took Anna to the next room.
Barry Barrett is quite the gar, he admires Norman Sutton, so he pulled Norman to play gas in the gaming room. Naturally, Norman Sutton’s thoughts were with Lana Holloway, his mind wandering more often than not, torn between wanting to find Lana Holloway and being uncertain about how to approach her.
On the other hand, Lana Holloway was rrily snacking and chatting with those around her in the neighboring dia room.
Audrey Sutton took Anna, entered the room, and settled on the sofa. Anna instantly reached for the items on the coffee table.
Seeing as the floor was carpeted, Audrey Sutton just let him be on the floor and play on his own.
"Where’s Clary?"
Laura Yates chuckled and said, "She’s asleep, we put her in the quiet computer room, with Mr. Bishop watching over her."
Audrey Sutton couldn’t help but laugh. She had ant to urge Julian Bishop to relax, now he was practically a tool rather than playing.
But those with busy jobs can’t toss aside everything to go on a carefree trip like the rest. So traveling while working is already a form of relaxation.
By evening, the cars gathered at the sa service area, dinner on the dining car was prepared, and everyone boarded to eat, resting for two hours before setting off again.
After dinner, exhaustion set in, and everyone boarded their designated rest vehicles, hoping for a restful journey overnight.
