Julian Bishop analyzed over and over, and the person sitting opposite him cross-legged on the chair playing with her phone, was exactly who he was looking for—Seraphina Vaughn.

Of course, Seraphina Vaughn wasn’t completely unaffected and carefree.

After all... it was her first ti.

Although she never thought about getting married, she had watched so many adult films and fantasized about her first ti.

Yet she never imagined it would be so carelessly given to a man she found so annoying.

She reclined with her phone looking relaxed, rely using the variety show on her screen to distract herself.

In reality, her thoughts weren’t focused on the show, although there were several funny monts, she showed no sign of smiling.

And as for Julian Bishop, he just assud Seraphina Vaughn was intently watching her phone, and considering her character, he imagined that if such a thing happened, Seraphina would probably have punched him awake.

After all, when they played gas last night, Seraphina kept acting like she was determined to defeat him.

Though he couldn’t quite figure out what he’d done to offend her.

Rembering he had to organize the docunts and send them to Shane Warner in the afternoon, Julian gathered his thoughts and returned to the RV to start working.

In the afternoon, a light rain began to fall. They originally planned to stay another two days at this campsite, but since the weather didn’t cooperate, they set off earlier for the next destination.

Rivia.

Evelyn Linton’s live stream event last night lasted until after two in the morning, and after that, she organized the orders, staying busy until past four. She even cooked a bowl of noodles before going to sleep.

By the ti she woke up, it was already after 2 PM.

Downstairs, Belle was packing items for shipnt tomorrow. Seeing Evelyn rise, she said, "Woken up from hunger? What do you want to eat? I’ll help you order takeout."

Evelyn stood on the stairs, rubbing her eyes, and asked, "Did you eat?"

Belle replied, "I got up at eight this morning and have been busy till now, just seeing how long you could sleep."

Saying this, Belle finished packing the order she was working on, pulled out her phone, and said, "How about getting those spicy shrimp pots from last ti?"

Still looking sleepy, Evelyn nodded and muttered, "Alright, one portion of rice is enough for the two of us, but add so more side dishes."

She turned back to her room to freshen up, and as she left, she glanced at the door to the room across from hers.

It seed like the person had paid rent but hadn’t been staying there, as they hadn’t returned for two days.

Evelyn approached, tentatively twisted the doorknob, and found it unlocked, so she pushed it open and peeked inside.

The room’s belongings were all there, neatly arranged, to the point it didn’t seem like it was lived in.

Evelyn grew increasingly puzzled about this person; they claid they needed to rent the place, but after doing so, they didn’t stay there.

Thinking they might be a scamr, she couldn’t dismiss the fact they had paid rent.

As a landlord, she figured as long as she received rent, she shouldn’t concern herself with anything else, so she let it be.

With that thought, Evelyn closed the door.

The takeout had arrived downstairs, so Evelyn turned and headed down.

Belle made room on the dining table, handing chopsticks to Evelyn, saying, "Starving, hurry up and eat. We still have a pile of orders to handle. Organizing even once takes half my life. I say, why don’t we hire a temporary helper?"

Evelyn pursed her lips disagreeingly, saying, "The two of us in the afternoon can finish quickly, right? Hiring temp help would cost money. Didn’t we manage fine during the shopping festival with so many orders?"

Belle rolled her eyes, "We managed, alright, but I ended up on IV drips for three days. The money I spent on dical bills could surely hire so temp help."

Evelyn: "That’s because you were already sick; it wasn’t much related to work."

Belle: "You’re just stingy."

Eager to reward herself for her hard work, Belle grabbed several shrimps for her bowl, eating as she said, "By the way, where’s that handso guy been these days? Maybe you haggled with him so much that he decided not to rent?"

Evelyn: "What does his renting or not have to do with my being stingy? Besides, as long as he paid rent, whether he stays or not is his business."

Belle wondered aloud, "I haven’t seen him for several days. Did you call him? What if sothing happened to him?"

Pausing with her chopsticks, Evelyn muttered, "What could have happened to him?"

Belle: "Haven’t you heard? There was a news story about a guy renting with roommates. At first, his roommate wasn’t concerned when he hadn’t co ho for two or three days because he thought the guy was either ho or with friends. But a week later, the police found the guy’s body under an unfrequented bridge, and it was already decomposed."

Evelyn’s chewing halted briefly. Trying to appear indifferent, she said, "What does that have to do with ?"

Belle: "Young people struggling away from ho should look out for each other as roommates. When soone hasn’t been ho for a few days, you should at least call to check."

Evelyn silently took a bite of rice, seemingly still hesitating, until Belle grinned and said, "If you don’t want to call, give that handso guy’s number, and I’ll ask him."

Without thinking, Evelyn refused, "You’d just harass him nonstop. No way."

Belle giggled, "I’m not that kind of person. At most, I’d ask why he hasn’t been ho, and say people are worried about him."

Evelyn rolled her eyes in disdain, "Even hearing that gives goosebumps."

Belle: "Aren’t you the least bit worried? What if sothing’s really happened and nobody knows? Sending a text won’t kill you."

Reluctantly, Evelyn pulled out her phone, opened Scott Sutton’s chat window, and hesitated for a mont before asking Belle, "How should I ask?"

Belle: "Just say, ’Hey, where have you been these past two days? We miss you, when are you coming back?’"

Evelyn glared at Belle, "That’s disgusting, be serious!"

Belle wiped her oily hands with a napkin and said, "Just ask why he hasn’t been ho for two days."

Evelyn pressed her lips together, struggling, "That sounds a bit invasive, as if I’m questioning him. I’m not his girlfriend."

Belle suggested, "Then ask if he’s got his key, say you’ll be out and no one will be ho, and ask if he wants you to leave a key."

Considering this reason seed reasonable, as she only wanted Scott to reply to confirm he was okay, Evelyn followed Belle’s suggestion and sent the ssage to Scott.
