Seraphina Vaughn said she wanted to spend money, but she actually lost interest in shopping.
Previously she could shop all day and feel delighted.
Today, after a morning of shopping, she felt tired and sleepy after lunch. She initially wanted to go back to the hotel to sleep, but rembering Julian Bishop’s carefree deanor, she wanted to empty his wallet.
After a day of shopping, she bought nearly everything she wanted and didn’t want, choosing only expensive things; Julian Bishop didn’t show any hesitation, often saying, "Why not buy all the colors?"
Who knows if he’s pretending not to care, but inside he’s already cursing.
She no longer had the energy to test if Julian Bishop was truly willing to spend money; walking into the departnt store made her feel stifled, preferring the air outside.
After wandering on the first floor of the departnt store for a while, Seraphina Vaughn exited through another door.
Julian Bishop asked curiously, "What’s wrong?"
Seraphina Vaughn glanced around and pointed to a beverage shop across the street, saying, "Thirsty. Go get milk tea."
Julian Bishop: "Don’t drink too many of those artificial flavors."
Seraphina Vaughn frowned and said, "I want it, what’s wrong with that? Is it that hard to buy a cup of milk tea?"
Julian Bishop gently suggested, "How about juice?"
Seraphina Vaughn turned her head away, sat on a bench, and said, like a child throwing a tantrum, "No, I won’t drink anything but milk tea."
Julian Bishop sighed helplessly and said, "Wait here, I’ll go buy it."
Seraphina Vaughn didn’t even say "thank you," she sat on the bench and pulled her phone out of her bag.
Julian Bishop still went ahead and ordered a cup of freshly squeezed juice for Seraphina Vaughn.
The shop was crowded, with many custors waiting inside after placing their orders.
Julian Bishop stood at the door, occasionally glancing in the direction of Seraphina Vaughn.
Seeing Seraphina Vaughn still sitting there quietly, he felt relieved.
He initially thought Seraphina Vaughn might have asked him to buy milk tea just to send him away, planning to play a prank of sneaking off.
His biggest concern wasn’t her leaving him, but worrying she might run into trouble alone.
Seraphina Vaughn had a slightly reckless nature; he always felt things might go awry if not monitored.
On the bustling street, Seraphina Vaughn played Solitaire on her phone, imrsed in the ga when Julian Bishop’s voice ca from above, "Here."
Seraphina Vaughn looked up, and Julian Bishop continued, "It’s windy outside, do you want to sit inside the shop?"
Ignoring Julian Bishop’s question, Seraphina Vaughn frowned at the clear cup in the bag—clearly not milk tea.
"I said I wanted milk tea."
Julian Bishop explained gently, "This is the shop’s bestseller, you might like it."
"I don’t like it!"
"How do you know you don’t like it without trying? Don’t blindly dismiss anything, whether people or things."
"I said I don’t like it, so I don’t like it."
Julian Bishop inserted the straw into the cup and held it in front of Seraphina Vaughn, saying, "Try it and then decide."
Seraphina Vaughn turned her head to avoid it: "Keep it away!"
Julian Bishop withdrew the drink and said, "Seems you’re not thirsty. Shall we head back if not shopping anymore?"
