Gwen wasn’t sure whether Miles Sterling was recalling sothing, but she felt that under the influence of dication, even if Miles did rember sothing from the past, the mories would probably be quite vague.
Moreover, judging from Miles’s current state, he himself hadn’t yet figured out what he used to be like.
"Why don’t you keep going, and I’ll go downstairs to make dinner. When I’m done, we can work on it together, okay?"
Miles faced away from Gwen, absent-mindedly uttering an "mm."
After Gwen turned to leave, he also put down the puzzle piece he was holding.

Countless mysteries piled up in Miles’s mind, and in annoyance, he broke apart the section of the puzzle he had completed, returned it all to the box, picked up the pack of cigarettes and lighter on the table, and went to the window, watching the rain grow heavier outside...
"Miles, co down and eat."
Gwen called from downstairs, getting no response from Miles, nor seeing him co down for a long ti, until she took off her apron and headed upstairs.
As soon as she opened the door, the strong odor of smoke hit her; Miles, whom she thought was still at the table working on the puzzle, was now standing by the window, smoking.
On the ashtray sitting on the table, the ashes and cigarette butts had piled up into a little mountain.
Gwen walked over, frowning in concern: "Miles, why are you smoking so much?"
Miles looked back at Gwen, tossing the half-smoked cigarette in his hand into the ashtray, his voice slightly hoarse as he asked, "Are you hiding sothing from about my mories?"
Gwen froze, her heartbeat seeming to skip a beat, masking with a slight smile: "Miles, why would you think that? Most of your past life was spent with ; I’ve pretty much told you everything about us."
"What about my friends? Besides you, who else did I have contact with back then?"
Gwen felt a sense of unease, swallowed hard, and replied, "I didn’t really know those friends of yours, so I can’t tell you about them now. But if you want to see your previous friends, I can try to contact them for you, and you can have a et-up. Maybe chatting with them could help you rember sothing."
Seeing Gwen’s gentle and considerate manner, Miles suddenly felt a little guilty for questioning her with that kind of tone earlier.
He took a deep breath, pondered, and asked carelessly: "Besides you, do I have any female friends?"
Gwen shook her head with a smile: "I don’t think so, and even if you did, you probably wouldn’t tell . You’ve always known how jealous I get. You’ve been asking these odd questions lately; did you suddenly rember the mistress you were secretly hiding?"
Speaking this, Gwen pretended to be upset, pouting as she linked arms with Miles: "You better confess, did you recall so other woman? I want to know as much as you do whether there are others in your mind!"
Seeing Gwen’s reaction, Miles himself suddenly had so doubt whether, when he was with Gwen in the past, he had actually been unfaithful. Otherwise, who was the unfamiliar girl in his mind?
