Bianca Jennings took the pillbox from Miles Sterling’s hand, removed a pill, and examined it carefully.
"Who gave you this dication?"
Miles Sterling stood up, touching the table beside him, looked at Bianca with so confusion, and replied, "The doctor who helped with my psychological therapy before."
"What kind of psychological therapy? Helping you recover your mory?"
Miles Sterling nodded, and Bianca asked again, "A doctor recomnded by Gwen Grant?"
Miles Sterling hesitantly nodded, realizing sothing himself, and asked, "Is there sothing wrong with this dication?"
Bianca: "It seems she truly doesn’t want you to regain your mory."
Miles Sterling was baffled: "What do you an?"
Bianca spread the pill on her palm and said, "This is a forbidden drug dostically. It causes mory decline, and taking too much can even affect intelligence. You should stop taking it as soon as possible."
Miles Sterling questioned in disbelief, "Are you sure?"
"If you don’t believe , you can take the pill to a professional agency for identification. You can even report it to the police directly."
Miles Sterling slowly realized why Gwen always reminded him to take the dication on ti; why recently, the mories that clearly surfaced in his mind were becoming increasingly blurred; why even when Vanessa Sterling, whom he had been searching for, appeared before him, it couldn’t trigger the return of past mories...
He couldn’t believe that he had always felt a bit grateful towards Gwen, thinking about how she had cared for him during this ti, reluctant to bla Gwen for deceiving him.
"I don’t know what happened between you and Gwen. I’m just following your decision to bring you here to search for your mories. As for the pills in your hand, I’m just telling you their real effects. How you deal with things between you and Gwen is your business. Don’t involve ; I don’t want to get entangled with that woman."
From Bianca’s words, it seed like Gwen hadn’t hesitated to reach out to Bianca before.
Miles Sterling clenched the pillbox in his hand, picked up the cane from the floor, and as he walked towards the door, he said "Thank you" to Bianca.
"Where are you going? To confront her?"
Miles Sterling paused and looked back at Bianca.
Bianca: "There’s a café downstairs by the road. Let’s sit down and chat."
By the ti they reached the café, Miles Sterling was sowhat calr.
Bianca ordered two drinks and said lightly to Miles Sterling, "In so ways, Gwen is quite like you."
Miles Sterling frowned as he listened to Bianca continue, "To be precise, like the old you."
Bianca paused for a mont and continued, "Selfish, extre, with a self-righteous love, going to any lengths to keep soone by your side."
These words plunged Miles Sterling into silence. He didn’t rember what he used to be like, but from Bianca’s and Cynthia Ramsey’s descriptions, it was clear that he wasn’t a likable person before.
"How do you feel being loved by a person like that now?"
Miles Sterling was silent for a while before answering, "Is this love?"
Bianca chuckled, seemingly satisfied with Miles Sterling’s answer, and asked, "Doesn’t such selfish possessiveness make you feel suffocated, wanting to escape?"
Miles Sterling seed to find the question absurd and retorted, "What else? Spend a lifeti with this kind of person?"
Bianca smiled and nodded, saying, "I wish you find your mory soon, and I hope you rember this conversation."
Miles Sterling felt a bit confused after hearing this, but after leaving the café, he didn’t go to confront Gwen about anything.
