Miles Sterling frowned impatiently, reaching out to push Gwen Grant outside the door.
Looking down at Gwen, who was sitting on the ground by the door, he said rcilessly, "Stop bothering . I’ll give you three days. If you don’t sign by then, see you in court."
After he finished speaking, Miles slamd the door, ignoring Gwen’s desperate pleas from outside.
Gwen cried for more than ten minutes outside the door. Seeing that Miles seed to have hardened his heart, she wiped away her tears, got up, tidied her clothes, and turned to leave.
After a half-hour drive, Gwen’s car stopped at a secluded corner of a private clinic.
"Mrs. Sterling? Why are you here today?"
Gwen said urgently, "Please arrange the IVF procedure for as soon as possible, the sooner, the better."
"Are you really not going to tell your husband about this?"
Gwen angrily replied, "Just arrange it, and stop the nonsense!"
The whole sperm retrieval process was previously completed under the guise of a physical check-up, hidden from Miles. How could she let him know?
Thankfully, she had left herself this last resort.
As long as the IVF is successful, and she is pregnant with Miles Sterling’s child, maybe their marriage will have a chance to turn around...
Even if Miles wants to divorce her, his parents, who have always hoped for a grandchild, might favor her more for the sake of the child.

At night, rain poured down accompanied by rumbling thunder.
Miles lay on the bed in Vanessa Sterling’s room, listening to the sound of the rain outside.
The hunger from not having dinner made his stomach grumble, and his stomach was a bit painful.
He picked up the jacket beside the bed, took a taxi downstairs, and went to the dumpling shop below Vanessa Sterling’s house.
A few days ago, while following Vanessa, he discovered that she often ca to this dumpling shop.
Before entering the shop, Miles had a bit of expectation of possibly running into Vanessa here.
Upon entering, he found that it was probably past dinner ti, and the shop was quiet with hardly any custors.
He ordered a portion of dumplings and sat by the window, watching people passing by with umbrellas on the street in a hurry.
While waiting for the dumplings to be served, Miles noticed alcohol for sale on the shelf.
He paused and called a server cleaning tables nearby, "Could you get a bottle of baijiu?"
The server was taken aback, then nodded with a smile, "Sure. We also have specialty side dishes to go with the alcohol. Would you like to order so?"
"Yes."
Miles turned to look out the window; under the lightning and thunder, the rain seed to fall even harder.
The server placed the alcohol and cold dishes on the table, "Enjoy, sir."
Miles picked up the bottle, poured himself a drink, and couldn’t help asking the server busy nearby, "Do you know a girl with shoulder-length hair, she’s relatively short?"
The server hesitated, as if trying to recall who Miles was referring to.
Miles added, "She seems to frequent your shop, I thought you’d rember her."
The server paused before asking, "Does she draw?"
Miles nodded, "She likes to draw."
"Oh, her na is Vanessa, right? She does enjoy our dumplings, but she hasn’t co by in the last couple of days. She ntioned to before that she’d be going away for so business."
Miles nodded knowingly, no wonder he hadn’t seen her these past days.
Miles: "Did she say when she’d be back?"
Server: "I’m not sure about that, but they had breakfast at my shop before leaving."
Miles: "They? Wasn’t she alone?"
Server: "No, there was a man with her. It was the first ti I’d seen him. She used to co alone, maybe he’s her new boyfriend."
