Quentin Sterling pulled out a chair and sat down beside the hospital bed, speaking earnestly: "Don’t overthink it, just let nature take its course."
Miles Sterling closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
Quentin Sterling looked at Miles Sterling’s hand, inserted with the IV line, and advised: "You barely escaped with your life from the car accident, you should take good care of yourself and stop damaging your body."
Miles Sterling replied with a "hmm," after a mont of silence, looked at Quentin Sterling and said: "Thank you, Uncle. I’m sorry to trouble you so late."
Hearing Miles Sterling’s polite thanks, Quentin Sterling paused in surprise, then smiled and said: "You’ve really changed a lot now."
"Really? But I don’t rember what I was like before."
"Living on with a new image isn’t bad either. You need to get better soon; I was hoping you’d return to help out at the company soon."
Miles Sterling smiled and said: "I guess I should find sothing to do."
The most important person in his mory seed not to wish for him to recover his mories, so perhaps he shouldn’t be so obsessed.

A week later.
On a sumr thunderstorm night, just after eight o’clock, the bus ca to a stop at a relatively secluded street sign.
Vanessa Sterling, holding an umbrella, got off the bus and shivered as she looked at the empty street after the bus left.
She took out her phone to check the address and started a walking navigation; the distance was about a kiloter away.
Recalling the rape and murder case that’s been all over the news recently, she involuntarily quickened her pace towards her destination.
Halfway there, she vaguely heard footsteps behind her; uncertain if she was being paranoid, she felt the footsteps were following her.
She swallowed hard, nervously gripping the umbrella handle, and quickened her pace, almost breaking into a run.
Amidst the sound of rain, the footsteps behind seed to hasten as well, scaring Vanessa Sterling greatly. She couldn’t help but glance back hastily, only to see a tall, burly man in a dark raincoat a few ters behind her.
In the dim light, she seed to catch a glimpse of the man’s fierce gaze upon her, intensifying her sense of foreboding. She picked up her speed and started running forward...
She wasn’t sure if it was her imagination, but it felt like the footsteps were closing in on her.
Just as she thought she was about to be caught, a car’s headlights illuminated her from behind, accompanied by a honk, and the car slowly stopped beside her.
The passenger window rolled down, and Audrey Sutton leaned out, looking at her in surprise and delight: "Vanessa? Weren’t you supposed to co later with my brother? Why are you here alone?"
When Vanessa Sterling saw Audrey Sutton in the car, so of her fear and panic dissipated.
Standing by the car, she couldn’t help but check behind her, but the man in the dark raincoat had vanished.
"Hurry, get in the car, it’s pouring. My brother didn’t leave you here, did he?"
Vanessa Sterling, still shaken, opened the back door, stowed her umbrella, and got in the car, smiling as she explained: "I saw there was a bus I could take here, and I had nothing to do at ho, so I decided to co over and find you guys myself."
Laura Yates, who was driving, said with concern, slightly scolding: "Honestly, at this late hour, you should have let us know in advance. We could have driven to the bus to pick you up. It’s quite remote here, and with such heavy rain, walking is quite a distance."
