"Are you feeling better, Ye Qiao?" Instructor Lu asked caringly.
She turned around after sniffing his odor and saw him standing somewhere nearby even though her vision was blurry.
He removed his cap and left it on the table. As usual, there was no expression on his handsome face, but his eyes were filled with flames.
In fact, the flames were burning her heart as she fixed her gaze on the man who was standing so close to her. Her vision was getting blurry as tears began to roll down her cheeks.
"You're a bastard, Lu Beixiao!" She cursed hoarsely. However, her skinny body immediately crashed into his embrace!
She was skinny and tall. However, she seemed so petite when she was in his embrace.
Lu Beixiao opened his arms with a smile and embraced her tightly!
"Bastard! You're annoying! Wu…" She cried.
It was 390 days! They have been apart for 390 days!
She was certain that today was not the first day he returned. How could he not e and see her the moment he came back? Why did he wait until the training!?

Ye Qiao obediently moved her head away from his chest with her chin and teary face looking up. A few teardrops were hanging on her long lashes.
His handsome face was so close to her, and she could tell that he lost weight. He was so much skinnier now...
"What are you crying for, silly girl?"
The odor of a mature man, along with a mild cigarette scent, was the smell she has been missing for more than a year!
It was a difficult year that he has struggled through. She was always the first one on his mind each and every single time when he almost died!
He had to make it through, though, for his girl was waiting for his return!

Ye Qiao raised her head and took a look at his palm as she grabbed his hand. Tears rolled down her cheeks again as she saw more callus scattered all over his hand. He was just a 22-year-old young adult, how much struggles had he actually gone through?!
"Oh, dear, don't cry! You're going to be screwed if you don't stop crying." He said in a serious manner even though he was just helplessly touched.
All of a sudden, they could hear the other instructor giving orders. After which, the students replied loudly too. Ye Qiao wiped her tears and looked at him again as she lifted her head.
As she saw the new scars on his body, Ye Qiao covered her mouth as she cried even harder! She just wanted to see what kind of life he had in the past year.
Numerous whip scars were found on his skin, and that was from the training of the anti-prisoner of war. Ye Qiao took a tour to his back, but Lu Beixiao refused to show her.
"Show me!" Ye Qiao said dominantly.
He was afraid of her, too, when she got angry. Lu Beixiao turned around with a smile and said, "It's just a small injury; nothing serious."
He said it in a casual manner. However, Ye Qiao felt her heart ache as though she was the one who got whipped when she saw the scars on his tanned back. "I shouldn't have let you go!"
Besides the whip scars, there were many burn scars too. Those scars were pale and looked even clearer on his tanned skin...
Then, he quickly turned around and pulled his T-shirt down. His big hands held her cheeks, and he wiped her tears away with his rough thumbs.
Suddenly, he heard the sound of walking footsteps.
Lu Beixiao's quick instincts helped him immediately let go of Ye Qiao.
"Do you know that your physique is too weak? How could you get a heatstroke by just standing for a few minutes?! I'll keep an eye on you from today onwards!" He lectured Ye Qiao with a stern expression.
