Zhou Manli’s heart softened and she quickly turned around to fort Mu Wei. “Weiwei, be good. Mom is here!”
She saw Mu Wei’s face filled with tears and her trembling body cowered like duckweed in the rain.
“Weiwei? What’s wrong?”
She held Mu Wei’s hand worriedly, and it was cold to the touch.
This made Zhou Manli especially worried. She followed Mu Wei’s gaze and looked at Song Jingwan. She could see Mu Wei’s fear.
“Jingwan, did you do something to Weiwei?”
Zhou Manli did not sound pleased. She hugged Mu Wei in her arms, and her heart ached as she continuously patted her back. She looked at Song Jingwan sternly and her voice was cold.
“I don’t know her!”
Song Jingwan gritted her teeth. She could not accept the way Zhou Manli looked at her as if she was looking at a stranger. “Mom, are you crazy? When did my sister bee her? Do you think she’s your daughter just because she made herself look like me? Look carefully! I’m standing in front of you! She’s an imposter!”
“Hu…”
Mu Wei shrank into Zhou Manli’s arms, and her body trembled even more.
“Shut up!”
Zhou Manli’s voice was cold. “So you already met Weiwei, right? Why didn’t you tell me? Looking at her face, didn’t you consider this possibility?”
Song Jingwan’s body trembled, and her eyes widened in disbelief.
Tears streamed down her face. “Mom, you’re mad at me because of an imposter?”
