She was the first to get off the bus.

“She’s quite the actor,” Jiang Nuan scoffed from behind, also getting off.
Everyone followed suit, exiting the bus one by one.
This time, the school learned from the provincial petition and paid for the students’ hotel acmodations themselves. They chose upper-middle-class rooms, which wouldn’t seem too luxurious to invite criticism, but would also ensure the students’ maximum fort.
Liu Yawei and the female teacher stayed at the reception to handle other matters, handing over three room keys to Chi Gui, Chi Yan, and Kong Wen, telling them to go up and rest themselves.

Their room was on the floor above Chi Yan’s.
Chi Gui calmly pressed the elevator button for their floor, “I was speaking the truth.”
She never indulged in the pointless squabble of trading barbs.
Jiang Nuan and Kong Wen—one was impetuous and lacked restraint, the other was too easily swayed—neither would get far in this field, let alone make money.
Chi Gui’s room, similar to Chi Yan’s group’s, was about the same but larger, with a fruit plate and pastries thoughtfully arranged inside.
“The service is so attentive!” Su Niannian was moved to near tears.
They had been on the road for nearly ten hours, without a chance to eat, and were starving.
