No one understands the might of the Petrification Technique better than Hall Master Deng. Even though Mu Hanyan’s power has reached the Sixth-level Sword Master, breaking through that innate ability is still as difficult as climbing to the heavens, and she will eventually be exhausted.
"No, quickly break the seal!" Hall Master Deng made a decisive decision and imdiately rushed forward.
If it were another academy disciple, it might be different, but is Mu Hanyan just anyone? She’s Gong Hongru’s disciple, Mu Beichen’s granddaughter. If she gets injured or dies, how would he explain to Gong Hongru, or to Mu Beichen?
Masters Zhu and Liang also rushed forward, doing their best to break the seal.
Unfortunately, this seal was set by the predecessors of the Beast Taming Hall, and it’s not that easy to break. The group exhausted themselves, sweating profusely, but the seal remained unmoved.
...
At this mont, Mu Hanyan was dodging the attacks from the Fierce Stone Demon while forming handprints and loudly reciting the Beast Taming Mantra. She knew that if she continued to contend with the Fierce Stone Demon, she would eventually wear herself out. The only solution was to ta it.
Unfortunately, the handprints and mantras taught by Master Liang were too superficial. In addition, since Mu Hanyan was just beginning to learn, it took her a long ti to ta even a Wind Spirit Rabbit. How could she possibly ta this powerful Fierce Stone Demon? Mu Hanyan kept changing handprints and reciting the mantra, which was lodious and pleasing to the ears, yet the Fierce Stone Demon only beca more excited, its roar growing louder and more intense.
Mu Hanyan’s forehead began to sweat slightly, then suddenly, a spark of inspiration flashed in her mind.
"In the na of Aolai, I command all beasts under heaven, those who follow will prosper, those who defy will perish!" Mu Hanyan recited the Beast God Contract inherited from the mory of the Aolai Divine Beast.
Not even the mighty Taowu, one of the Four Great Fierce Beasts, could resist the Beast God Contract, let alone the Fierce Stone Demon.
Reciting the contract, Mu Hanyan nearly gave herself a firm slap: why didn’t she think of this sooner?
As the Beast God Contract was spoken, mysterious halos appeared out of thin air, enveloping the Fierce Stone Demon. The Fierce Stone Demon’s body trembled, as if immobilized by a spell, but before Mu Hanyan could rejoice, it suddenly roared to the sky, its ferocity in its eyes even stronger than before.
"Impossible, how could even the Beast God Contract be ineffective against it? It can’t possibly be more domineering than the Four Great Fierce Beasts like Qiongqi and Taowu." Mu Hanyan was startled and quickly dodged its hamr-like giant claws.
"Taowu, co out quickly." Thinking of Taowu, Mu Hanyan suddenly rembered that she still had a gold dal thug she had never used. Last ti during the battle against Qiu Ye at the Illusion Dragon Hall, she wanted to summon Taowu for help, but because of the existence of the Illusion Dragon Hall’s sealing barrier, the summoning failed.
It was uncertain whether the seal of the Beast Taming Hall would also block the master-servant contract between her and Taowu, but with the situation so critical, Mu Hanyan had no better option.
This ti, it did not disappoint her.
"Master, I’m here, I’m here." As Mu Hanyan’s mind moved, Taowu appeared out of nowhere in mid-air, and then landed heavily on the ground, rolling and crawling over.
It was certainly not out of extre loyalty to Mu Hanyan, but out of fear that displeasing Mu Hanyan could result in its soul being obliterated with just a thought.
While running, this guy wagged its head and tail like a fawning dog, fully displaying an ingratiating deanor. Eager to show off, it had completely overlooked the Fierce Stone Demon descending from the sky.
With a muffled "boom," the Fierce Stone Demon’s hamr-like claw smacked down hard on Taowu’s head.
Mu Hanyan’s mouth twitched heavily a few tis; this could not be happening. This was her last gold dal thug, and it ended like this before even achieving anything.
Mu Hanyan clearly underestimated Taowu’s resistance. As one of the Four Great Fierce Beasts, it surely wasn’t just famous for nothing.
Although it was smashed to the ground, with stars swirling in its vision, it soon climbed back up, swiping its steel whip-like tail to fling the Fierce Stone Demon away.
"Oh, isn’t this the Fierce Stone Demon? Master, how did you encounter this guy? Although this guy is not as formidable as us Four Great Fierce Beasts, its defense is trendously strong, even we have difficulty harming it. Fortunately, it just reached adulthood and though its bloodline has awakened, its innate ability in petrification technique is still not comparable to its ancestors, nor is its strength as great. Luckily so, otherwise, my suppressed power may not even be able to do anything against it..." Seeing clearly the Fierce Stone Demon, Taowu was first astonished, then chattered on.
Mu Hanyan then realized that this creature was quite the chatterbox! No wonder, having been sealed in the Beast Soul Hall alone, taking over a hundred years to resurrect with a few drops of essence blood, finally having soone to talk to, it’s not surprising to have a lot to say.
"Alright, alright, don’t lant now, why was the Beast God Contract ineffective?" Mu Hanyan interrupted Taowu, asking bewilderedly.
At this ti, the Fierce Stone Demon also realized the newcors were not friendly, watching Taowu with apprehension, not daring to attack.
"Uh, the Beast God Contract was signed by the Aolai Divine Beast with us Four Great Fierce Beasts and several other strongest divine beasts, then we command the beast clan under heaven. Actually, it has nothing to do with it; its rank is too low, not worthy to sign a contract with Lord Ao Lai." Taowu explained, while also taking a mont to appreciate itself.
"So, you have a contract with this guy?" Mu Hanyan asked curiously. As she knew, contracts among divine beasts usually involved whole races rather than individuals, typically lasting for generations without reversal.
"No, if I rember correctly, it should have a contract with that guy who only eats vegetables, not at, I don’t even know how it ended up being one of the Four Great Fierce Beasts." Taowu rembered and replied, referring to Qiongqi, who only eats vegetables, not at.
"Then how can it be tad? The beast taming techniques I learned seem completely ineffective." Mu Hanyan continued to ask.
Although Taowu’s power was being suppressed and might not be able to overpower the Fierce Stone Demon, at least with a helper, Mu Hanyan felt reassured and started to focus on the matter of Beast Taming Technique.
Master Liang was right; they ca here to practice beast taming, not just to fight and kill. If one wants to spar with Exotic Beasts, there are plenty in the Longyan Mountain, so why waste ti here?
"Master, you want to ta it? It’s very simple." Taowu tilted its head, looking at Mu Hanyan with a very puzzled expression.
"Hurry up, don’t keep in suspense." Mu Hanyan clearly sensed a hint of disdain in its gaze, feeling deeply insulted, and impatiently urged.
"I strike first, and then master moves afterwards." Taowu said decisively.
"Do what?" Mu Hanyan looked at it puzzled.
"Beat it, beat it until it hurts, beat it until it fears, then it will naturally submit." Once Taowu finished saying this, it charged towards the Fierce Stone Demon.
Mu Hanyan was dumbfounded, rembering when teaching the Beast Taming Technique earlier, Master Liang also spoke of its origin.
According to him, everything in the world has spirit, and humans being the head of all spirits, can, with a compassionate heart, pacify an Exotic Beast, making it voluntarily obedient henceforth.
The beast taming handprints, along with various mantras, all contain heavenly benevolence and divine virtues, allowing the Beast Tar to pacify Exotic Beasts and making them obey commands.
However, what Taowu ntioned seed entirely different.
(Weakly shouting, asking for monthly tickets and recomndation tickets.)
