"Boom!" As soon as she made contact with the Star Plate, a massive force struck her.
That power was so overwhelming that even as a Tenth Rank Great Swordsman, Han Yan was sent staggering backward, finally crashing heavily into a wall. Fortunately, the wall was constructed from hard stone; otherwise, she would have definitely smashed a great hole through it.
Although the wall remained intact, the potent rebound force caused Han Yan’s blood to surge tumultuously, nearly knocking the breath out of her.
Han Yan dared not move rashly, taking several deep breaths to steady her breathing. When she tried to scrutinize what exactly had happened, the light had rapidly vanished.
Looking up, Han Yan discovered, to her surprise, that the two Star Plates had actually rged into one, forming a cohesive whole. It still resembled a pendant, and although it looked sowhat different from before, it wasn’t awkward or peculiar at all.
Taking a closer look at the Star Phase on it, Han Yan was even more astonished. The Star Chart had changed as well, with tens of thousands of Star Points erging and combining with the existing Star Chart to form a mysterious pattern.
However, this pattern was obviously incomplete, indiscernible as to what it was. Its ethereal essence almost gave the impression of sothing upon the wind returning ho, interwoven with an inexplicable sense of majesty.
Han Yan had known before that the Star Illusion Thousand Machine’s Star Plate was sowhat incomplete, but she had always assud this was due to wear and tear over the passing ages. At this mont, she realized she had oversimplified her assumptions.
Evidently, the Star Illusion Thousand Machine wasn’t simply worn; it was missing more than one part, and even now, it hadn’t been fully restored.
This ant that the so-called Heavenly Destiny Star Plate left behind by Mu Tianlie was actually a part of the Star Illusion Thousand Machine. Moreover, there were other missing pieces out there. Only when all these parts were brought together could the Star Illusion Thousand Machine be made whole again, and the intricate patterns of the Star Chart be completed.
Understanding all this, Han Yan was even more perplexed. Why was there such a connection between the Heavenly Destiny Star Plate left by Mu Tianlie and the Star Illusion Thousand Machine? What exactly was going on?
"Hey, what exactly is going on? Why did this happen?" Han Yan hung the fused pendants of the Star Illusion Thousand Machine and the Heavenly Destiny Star Plate back around her neck and voiced her confusion inwardly.
"I’m not sure, I seem to have rembered sothing," a distant voice suddenly echoed in her mind. Choppy, stiff, yet imbued with a magnetic quality.
"You can talk?!" Han Yan was taken aback, having not seen words appear on the Star Plate as before; she then realized that it was the Star Illusion Thousand Machine that had spoken.
"Uh-huh, I must have also advanced to a higher level. It seems like I’ve rembered so things," the voice in her mind spoke again.
Han Yan was completely baffled. The Star Illusion Thousand Machine’s prior behavior had already surpassed what she knew of Divine Artifacts, and now that it could even speak, it staggered her imnsely.
"What did you rember?" Han Yan managed to calm her emotions before pressing for answers.
"I can’t be certain. I’m so tired. Let sleep for a bit, and then I’ll think it over," the Star Illusion Thousand Machine articulated, the weariness evident in its voice.
Feeling its exhaustion, Han Yan couldn’t bring herself to inquire further.
Before, she had felt that the artifact was becoming increasingly spiritual, almost to the point of becoming a sentient being. But now, it gave Han Yan the impression of truly living entity, just existing in a manner unlike any other.
In her mind, there was peace.
