Now reading: Chapter 668: Young Master 668’ nickname is Gou Dan from Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return, a Romance novel by White Day.

"Young Master Mu?" Han Jinglun looked at Mu Hanyan with a puzzled glance. He had personally witnessed just how renowned the na of Big Playboy Mu was, yet he didn’t know how soone like Mu could help with this kind of matter, especially considering his youth.

"He might not have told you yet, but he is the owner of Nanyan Chamber of Comrce. You shouldn’t underestimate the Nanyan Chamber of Comrce; although it currently does not compare to the scale of the forr Han Family’s businesses, given ti, it will surely be no less prominent than the Han businesses," Qu Shanling said.

"So Young Master Mu is actually the owner of the Nanyan Chamber of Comrce," Han Jinglun said in surprise.

As the forr Young Master of the Han Family, his eye for business was naturally keen. He had been shocked when he first stepped into the Nanyan Chamber of Comrce, finding it hard to imagine who could operate such a thriving business in a remote small town like Heishi City, to the point of rivalling the most prosperous days of the Han Family’s businesses.

He had never dread that the owner of the Nanyan Chamber of Comrce would be the Mu Big Playboy everyone feared like a plague.

"Actually, the Nanyan Chamber of Comrce wasn’t founded by , it was my cousin’s doing. I’m just lending a hand and using my na," Mu Hanyan said modestly.

"That may be so, but without your help, the Nanyan Chamber of Comrce wouldn’t have reached its current state. Over the years, I, Qu Shanling, have travelled far and wide and encountered countless talented youths, but this is the first ti I’ve seen soone with your capabilities, truly unparalleled in history... reflecting on the vastness of the universe..." Qu Shanling said, reflecting on how he had witnessed the growth of the Nanyan Chamber of Comrce. If not for Mu Hanyan, the chamber of comrce might still be just a small auction house.

However, as he reflected, the old god-man lapsed back into his habit of flattering.

"Alright, alright, that’s enough," Mu Hanyan said, feeling goosebumps all over his body as he quickly interrupted the flood of flattery coming his way.

"Here’s what we’ll do, Old Sir Han. I will have soone look into the whereabouts of your wife and son. I might go to Capital myself in a few days, and I will pay extra attention when I do. You can stay here in Heishi City with peace of mind," Mu Hanyan told Han Jinglun.

He had no interest in avenging the Han Family, but this favor was just a trivial effort, as long as he was careful not to draw undue attention. He certainly didn’t want to bring major trouble to the Mu Family for helping Han Jinglun a little.

In fact, taking in Han Jinglun was sowhat risky in itself, but Mu Hanyan had no regrets, especially considering his protective actions in Cangshan City and the Chi Xiao Sword he possessed.

If he couldn’t even carry that much responsibility, what would be the point of living his life over again?

"Thank you, Young Master Mu. Rest assured, I won’t make this public, nor will I cause any trouble for you," Han Jinglun said, overjoyed upon hearing that Mu Hanyan was going to Capital to personally search for his relatives. Of course, he also knew that helping him ca with so risk, and he must not create any trouble for Mu.

"I have a Jade Pendant here; it’s a family heirloom. My son also carries one; they are a matching pair. If you find any trace of them, you can recognize each other with this pendant," Han Jinglun said as he handed over a Jade Pendant to Mu Hanyan.

The Jade Pendant clearly had so age to it, with dragons and phoenixes auspiciously depicted in extrely fine craftsmanship.

Mu Hanyan took the Jade Pendant and paused for a mont: This pendant, it looked familiar. A vague image flashed through his mind, but upon closer reflection, no clear mory surfaced.

Where had he seen it before? Mu Hanyan wracked his brain, pondering deeply.

"Moreover, our ancestors worried that later generations might not preserve the family wealth, falling to the point of begging on the streets, so they hid a large part of it away. Among it supposedly lie nurous Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures, with the hiding place detailed within this pendant. Thankfully, the Han descendants lived up to expectations, and until our downfall, we never needed to touch that wealth. If Young Master Mu can help find my relatives, all of these ancestral treasures will belong to you," Han Jinglun added, not wanting Mu Hanyan to feel shortchanged.

"Old Sir Han, you’re being too formal," Mu Hanyan said, still trying to recall where he had seen the pendant before. He just waved his hand dismissively.

Being a young heiress with a sizeable fortune, she wouldn’t covet the Han Family’s riches.

If she were that petty, she wouldn’t have bothered helping him.

Knowing that Mu Hanyan was generous by nature, Han Jinglun didn’t bring up the Han Family’s hidden treasure again. After all, he also didn’t know how much legacy his ancestors had truly left behind—it might well be nothing to others.

Neither Mu Hanyan nor Han Jinglun could have imagined at that mont the true complexity of the so-called family wealth left by the Han ancestors, or that the complete annihilation of the Han Family was connected to it. Of course, that was a story for another ti.

Mu Hanyan racked her brain, trying to figure out where and when she had seen such a jade pendant before, but despite her efforts, she ca up empty.

She had a fleeting sense that sothing was just beyond the edge of her mory, but whenever she tried to grasp it, it quickly vanished.

Could it be an illusion? Mu Hanyan was starting to have her doubts.

Such jade pendants were not uncommon. Any family with a bit of wealth typically had quite a few jade pieces, and dragons and phoenixes symbolized prosperity and good fortune, making them even more commonplace. If she went back and looked carefully, she might find several similar pieces in the Mu Family. It was normal to have a false impression under these circumstances.

Yet, why couldn’t she shake off the vague and unclear impression that flashed through her mind?

And more importantly, why did her heart inexplicably ache when that murky mory crossed her mind?

"Right, you forgot to tell the nas of your wife and son," Mu Hanyan said, giving up on figuring out the jade pendant for the mont, and turned her attention to Han Jinglun.

"My wife’s na is Tang Shufang, and my young son was too little to have a formal na at the ti. We just called him ’Gou Dan’ (Puppy)!" Han Jinglun admitted a bit sheepishly.

Gou Dan... Mu Hanyan was a bit speechless.

It was common for children of commoner families to be given lowly nicknas to help them survive, but the na ’Gou Dan’ seed excessively so. If people knew that the young master of the Tianji Family, one of the most mysterious families of the Holy Court Continent, was nicknad Gou Dan, who knows what they would think.

Mu Hanyan suddenly felt grateful that, although her parents had brought her up as a boy, which might be considered sowhat lowly, they at least had given her a decent na. Otherwise... "Gou Dan, Gou Dan," Lady Mu imagined her mother chasing after her, calling out endearingly, and felt a wave of discomfort.

It was then that she realized it wasn’t that Han Jinglun had forgotten to tell her the nas; it was more like they were too ordinary to rember.

Tang Shufang was an exceedingly common na shared by many ladies from respectable families, and as for Gou Dan... perhaps it was better not to dwell on a na so redolent of rusticity.

After chatting a bit longer and asking about the physical appearances of both individuals, Mu Hanyan committed their descriptions to mory.

Though thirty years had passed and their looks must have undoubtedly changed, it was always good to have more information.

As the evening approached, with Mu Nan and Che Hao both out on errands and not at the Chamber of Comrce, Qu Shanling decided to bring two disciples and join Mu Hanyan and Han Jinglun for a al at a restaurant to welco them.

Just as they reached the entrance, they saw Mu Nan coming toward them with a troubled expression, seemingly weighed down with worries.

"Mu Nan," Mu Hanyan called out.

"Brother Han Yan, you’re back!" Mu Nan looked up to see Mu Hanyan and imdiately lit up with joy, rushing over excitedly and grasping Han Yan’s hand. "It’s wonderful you’re back! I was at a loss about what to do."

"What happened?" Hearing his reaction, Mu Hanyan knew Mu Nan must be facing a troubling issue, so she asked.

"Do you rember Ye Fengyun? He’s a disciple of Senior Wenren from Long Yan Academy. That guy makes no secret of his hostility towards our Nanyan Comrce, constantly causing us trouble," Mu Nan complained angrily.

"Oh, what did he do?" Mu Hanyan frowned slightly.

She certainly rembered Ye Fengyun. Due to her notorious reputation as a playboy, he stubbornly believed that she had used so dishonorable tricks to deceive Wenren Qingqiu and secure a contract with Nanyan Comrce, so he always saw Mu Hanyan and her business with distaste.

Although it wasn’t certain if he had directly taken part in the last incident when Yuan Tianbo had his guards injure people from Nanyan Comrce, without his backing, Tian Bo wouldn’t have dared to do so.
