Chapter 1007: Two Sons’ Conflicts
Chu Tian looked up at Zhou Huaijin.
He greeted him of his own accord, but Zhou Huaijin still showed a very calm expression on his face. He was not flattering him just because he was not in a good situation right now. That was a rare thing, in Chu Tian’s opinion.
The Chu Family had been working in the court since a long time ago, and the Chu Family had their own rules – they only served the King, devotedly and only. Therefore, Chu Tian had never been part of the game of thrones.

Chu Tian and Zhou Huaijin walked towards the court together.
It was very early in the morning and few people were passing by.
Chu Tian did not talk, nor did Zhou Huaijin. He was a very cold person who always wore a very cold expression on his face, unless he needed to show emotions.
Chu Tian looked at him, then he said, “Something happened at Li County last night, and many civilians were injured. However, the County Magistrate intended to conceal the whole matter. How dare he! But my housekeeper is from Li County and when something like that happened last night, he and his family ran out of the county, fearing that something would happen to them again. They are now staying at the capital and that is how I got to know about this.”

Zhou Huaijin was surprised.
He threw a look at Chu Tian.
He was not surprised that Prime Minister Chu knew about this, because there were always little birds flying about passing on the information. He was just surprised that he was telling him about what happened.
Zhou Huaijin hesitated, then he said straightforwardly. “Li County is a very special county among all the counties in the Saint Divine Land. It is close to the capital, and all the officers there think that they can make some money out of it. Normally, those who are to be promoted would be put there for a while before ing back to the capital for a higher position. And those officers have run into such a serious incident at this moment, so of course they hope to press it down, in case they are involved.”
Chu Tian threw a surprised look at Zhou Huaijin, but before he was able to say something, they had already walked into the hall and closed their mouths.
Soon, the attendees arrived.
The King had just sat on the throne, when Chu Tian reported the incident of Li County to the King.
The King frowned. “Is the County Magistrate here today?”
The County Magistrate was not qualified enough to be in the court, but he should have been here because of what happened the night before.
It was very quiet in the court, so the King understood what had happened.
No wonder it was the Prime Minister who reported the incident. He was definitely going to meet this County Magistrate to see what he was up to!
However, before that someone should be arranged to deal with what was happening in the County first.
“Which one of you would like to go to Li County?” the King asked.
“I do!”
“I do!”
Both Zhou Huailing and Zhou Huaijin stepped forward together.
