“I did not.” Gu Chaoyan explained calmly.
“You didn’t? Then prove to me! Otherwise you should never have slapped my maid!” Gu Ruxue said and looked rather unconvinced. She knew that this ugly girl could not present any proof. “Sister, you have to be careful about making up a lie. You dislike me, so you slapped my maid.”
Gu Ruxue’s words convinced everyone.
That was true... Gu Chaoyan was the lineal daughter, the Elder Miss of the whole mansion. However, she was not as excellent as Second Lady, and her public reputation wasn’t that excellent either.
