The Heavenly Emperor nodded, seeming satisfied.
His initial intent hadn’t been to have Chaoyan sleep here.

“Very well. From now on, you’ll acpany Chaoyan, while the other one will handle the hut’s upkeep,” declared the Heavenly Emperor. “You may depart.”
Upon hearing the assignment, Xiaoyun clenched her fists tightly.
Why her?
To be replaced by someone like Lin Xue as Chaoyan’s personal attendant?!
She dared not voice her objections in the Heavenly Emperor’s presence, but her frustration simmered beneath the surface.
Despite Xiaoyun’s agitation, the Heavenly Emperor remained in high spirits.
He removed his outer garment and reclined outside.
