Faler seemed shocked by Samiyi’s words, “You want to be king?”

Faler gently shook his head, “No, you’re a smart and brave child. I believe you would make a good king, but if you pursue the kingship, you will face many hardships.”
“Hence why I need Uncle Faler’s help,” Samiyi continued, “As long as I control those nobles’ secrets, I can mand them. Once the nobles agree to let me be king, then I’ll have the chance to do much more.”
“The nobles are greedy. If you want them to support your kingship, it will e at a cost,” Faler stated.
“Not required,” said Samiyi, “As long as all the nobles’ power is taken back, they won’t pose a threat to me.”
Faler admired Samiyi’s idea, but he did not trust her, “Samiyi, you are too young and don’t understand how troublesome those nobles can be. If not for their meddling inside, I would not have had to leave the palace.”
The nobles opposed Faler marrying a foreign woman; if they were to marry, then Faler had to renounce his title as Prince.
Faler could have owned an estate after marriage, but since he did not marry a noblewoman following the royal customs, the strong opposition from the nobles forced the then King to make him leave without a penny to his name.
Had Faler owned an estate with servants to take care of them, his wife would not have needed to go out shopping herself, and perhaps she could have avoided that disaster.

“You are a very clever child. I realized this when you were little,” Faler said with a touch of regret, “Had you not been a girl, the kingship would have been yours by now.”
