Uchiha Itachi could only choose this place to et Uzumaki Naruto because only this way would no one notice what he was doing. This was his backup plan for Uchiha Sasuke.
Originally, seeing how Sasuke treated his forr friends, Itachi had already planned to give up on bringing Sasuke back to Konoha; but Uzumaki Naruto’s actions made Itachi see hope for Sasuke’s future.
As long as Sasuke’s friends were willing to accept him, Itachi believed it was better for Sasuke to return to his hotown.
Since Uzumaki Naruto was so determined to bring Sasuke back, Itachi wanted to put this layer of insurance on Uzumaki Naruto.
